The show was packed, Kyle was slowly becoming claustrophobic even though people couldn't see him could just walk though him.
The four ghosts were at the show, seeing who else was there. It was mainly people either there for entertainment, or record executives.
They were mostly there for the record executives, trying to get people to notice the band.'There's so many people here.' Kyle said to Alex over the music.
'Yeah, it's crazy.' Alex replied.
'I'm excited to see you guys play!' Kyle turned to face the taller boy.
'I'm excited to play.'
'You're gonna do great.'
'Thanks.' Alex smiled, looking at him.
'Oh, hey, look there's Flynn.' Kyle pointed Julies best friend out to him.
'Oh yeah. I'll go see where the guys are, you wait for Julie.' Alex made a plan.
'Sounds great.' Kyle quickly stood up on his tippy-toes, feeling brave. He gave Alex a small kiss on the cheek before walking off, leaving the blond in shock.Soon after Kyle walked over to Flynn, Julie arrived.
'Am I too late?' She asked as an announcement was made by the hosts.'
'Too early.' Flynn said as Carrie Wilson walked on stage.'Hope you all came to have a great time.' She said before beginning her performance.
'Dirty Candy?' Asked Julie. 'How'd she get on the list?'
'Her daddy probably made a call.' Replied Flynn. 'I like this! Pretty flower.'
'Thanks. It's a dahlia. My moms favourite.'Everyone turned to the stage as Carrie began singing, her backup dancers coming on stage with her.
Kyle looked behind him to see that the guys were now there. Alex was watching the performance, completely captivated by the five girls dancing.
'You enjoying this?' Kyle asked.
'Yeah.' Alex whispered, before poofing on stage.
Kyle raised his eyebrows and let out a small laugh, looking at Alex stand there for a solid twenty seconds, clearly confused.
Julie looked at Reggie who just shrugged.Alex began dancing along with Dirty Candy, going around her, copying her moves and doing his own thing.
But he ended up poofing back to the group after about a minute of dancing.'Wow.' Laughed Kyle as he looked at Alex. 'You're actually... pretty good.'
'Pretty good? I'm amazing.' Alex joking flipped his hair.
'Okay, yeah, you were amazing.'
'You having fun out there?' Asked Julie.
'It's not my fault. It's my umh... it's my feet.' Alex told her. 'Put me back in, coach.'
Alex quickly poofed back onto the stage again, contributing his dancing as his four friends watched, and Flynn, even if she couldn't see.He danced around, clearly having the time of his (not) life as he walked through Carrie.
Eventually the performance ended and Alex poofed back to the group.
'Hey, uh... I was just... I was just doing that for you guys.' Alex clarified.
'Sure.' Kyle said.
'Mmh-hmm. Yeah. You can stop smiling now.' Reggie joked.'I'm not gonna lie. That was... kind of good.' Said Julie.
'Yeah. I forgot why I hate her so much.' Flynn said, just before Carrie and the rest of Dirty Candy walked over.'Hi, girls.' Carrie addressed Julie and Flynn. 'Un, isn't it past your bedtime?'
'Now I remember.' Flynn finished her thought.
'Hmmm. If you're looking for Nick, he didn't come.'
'That's not why I'm here.' Julie stepped towards the other girl as the host made another announcement.'Ok, it looks like we're closing the night out with one more group, 'Julie and The Fat Ones.'' The reader mis-read the bands name, causing the majority of people to let out small laughs.
'Really?' Alex asked Luke, who had written their name on the playlist.
'Yeah, man. My handwriting sucks.' Luke said.Julie walked on stage and Flynn went to go put the fake projector on a bar stool. Julie sat down at the keyboard, all eyes on her.
'Hi. It's actually 'Julie and The Phantoms.' She announced as the crowd stayed silent.'Hey.' Kyle looked up at Alex, seeing the nerves on his face. 'You're gonna rock this.'
Alex looked down at him.
'Thanks.' He smiled at him.
Julie began playing piano and singing.
Alex stood there, waiting for his and the guys cue to poof onto the stage.
'You've got this.' Kyle told him again, grabbing his hand. The boys heard Julie singing.
'So we'll push all our fears away.' Julie sang.
The two ghosts looked at each other for a few seconds before Alex leaned in, kissing him softly. As Kyle was about to say something Alex and the two other ghosts poofed away, going up with Julie. The crowd erupted in applause as they performed together. Kyle stood there, still slightly shocked that Alex kissed him. Any time they had kissed it was either Kyle leaning in or meeting half way.
Both of them were so happy, and that really reflected in Alex's performance as he contently played the drums, smiling at Kyle in the crowd.
The song ended and they all bowed, the three boys disappearing quickly, returning back beside Kyle. The audience erupted in cheers and claps, everyone amazed at the talent of the four ghosts.
'Thank you. We're Julie and The Phantoms. Tell your friends.' Julie announced into her microphone before running off stage to where Flynn and the guys were sitting.
'You were incredible!' Flynn exclaimed, hugging Julie.
'Yeah we were!' Reggie said, knowing Flynn couldn't hear him.
'Hey! Hey! Whoever Carrie was trying to impress is coming this way!' Luke pointed out.
'Oh, it's...' Julie began.
'She looks all business.' Alex said.
'Wait. Who should do the talking?' Asked Reggie, forgetting that nobody could see him or any of the guys. 'Right. Julie. Julie.''You got this.' Flynn whispered to her best friend encouragingly.'
'Hi,' The woman walked over and shook Julies hand. 'I'm Andi Parker, and I would-'Before Andi could say any more she was cut off by a voice.
'Julie.' Ray Molina walked over.
'Dad.' Julie said in shock.
'It's time to go.'A/N
