Chapter 8 - Normal Date

I sit on the couch waiting for Kian to come pick me up.

I scroll through instsgram on my phone and soon I hear a knock on the door.

"ILL GET IT!!!!" I hear my annoying sister Jen yell from the kitchen.

I shrug and let her get it.

"Who are you?" She asks Kian.

"My names Kian and Im here for your sister."

"Your not going to rape her are you.."

"REALLY JEN, REALLY?" I yell at her as I quickly get up from the couch.

"No he's not Jen, you can go upstairs and talk to your friends now."

She laughs and heads upstairs.

She's such a weirdo.

"MOM ILL BE BACK BY 9!" I yell from the bottom of the stairs.

"OK!"

I turn around from the stairs and walk up to Kian at the door.

He's wearing some regular jeans and a T-shirt that says NYC on it, topping it off with wearing a backwards snapback.

Me on the other hand, I'm wearing a white skater skirt, white Vans, and a cute pink floral top.

"You look beautiful" Kian says.

"Thanks, you don't look too shabby yourself" I smile.

Kian smiles back and we head out the door.

We walk to his truck and hop in.

We start driving down my street and getting on the freeway.

"Where are we going anyway??" I ask curiously.

"You'll just have to wait and see" he replies with a smirk.

"You suck" I say and stick my bottom lip out as if I was pouting.

"Suck it up babe, we'll be there soon"

"Ughhh fine, I hate surprises"

"You'll like this one"

I smile and gaze out the window.

After a 20 minute drive or so we pull up to a little cafe called Hilltop Cafe.

It was so cute!

We head inside and sit down in a booth.

Soon the waitress comes and takes our drink order and heads off.

"So what you getting?" Kian asks.

"Not sure, it all sounds good"

"Believe me it is, my mom use to take me here a lot, I've basically eaten everything on the menu." Kian says with a slight smile.

I set my menu down, "Well, then you know what's the best, therefore I will have what your having" I laugh.

"Alrighty then, I'll pick something good don't worry." Kian ducks his head behind the menu playfully as if studying it.

I laugh and soon the waitress arrives with our drinks and ask us what we would like to eat.

Kian speaks up, "Two plates of your famous Mac n cheese." He says with pride.

"Good choice Kian" she replies with a smile and walks away.

"She knows your name??" I ask with a bit of surprise.

"I told you I've been here a lot"

I laugh and we make small talk, not bringing up any of the problems going on.

Soon our food comes and its, well, AMAZING!!!!!! Its 5 different cheeses combined, ugh its so good.

About half way done with my meal I speak up, "Imma go to the bathroom quick ok?"

Kian nods while chewing and I walk to the bathroom.

I eventually find it and go in.

I walk into a stall and close the door, as I hear someone else walking in.

Theyre not coming into a stall? Weird.

They probably just wanna wash their hands.

I walk out of the stall and see a gruffly looking man standing there.

"Um, this is the woman's bathroom?"

I say awkwardly.

The man just laughs and says, "I know" and shoves a cloth over my mouth.

OH GODDDD NOOOO!!! HELL NO YOUR NOT TAKING ME TODAY BISH!

I act quickly and kick him in the balls as hard as my high heel could.

He topples over in pain, thank god, and I run out of the bathroom.

Kian is just finishing his meal when he looks up to me.

His face quickly turns into a worry when he sees a distressed look on my face.

"We have to leave now." I say sternly.

He nods and throws 40$ on the table and he head out quickly with his arm around my waist for protection.

We quickly head onto the road, but soon a black van pulls up behind us.

"Shit," Kian says, "I CANT HAVE ONE DATE DAD! YOU GOTTA RUIN EVERYTHING!"

"Jul I want you to duck down."

"Wait what."

"I want you to unbuckle your seat belt, and get on the floor and cover your head, they could start shooting."

"O-okay" I mumble as I get down.

I start to freak out a little but I try and stay calm.

Kian starts picking up speed and swerving violently.

Then I hear gun shots.

Ohgodohgodohgodohgod.

Luckily I haven't heard any hit us so Kian must be avoiding them pretty good.

"HOLD ON!" he yells.

He serves really violently and I hit by head, soon, everything goes black.
