Chapter 11 - Losing It

We start heading back to school in complete silence.

A few random things here and there, but not really anything important.

I draw my gaze from the window and speak up, "So when are you guys going to do the next part of the plan?"

"Nothing of your concern" Kian replies back sternly.

"Um, I thought I was in on the plan now?"

"Juls, I've told you before, you chose to be in this, but I'm still going to try and keep you out of it." Kian says not looking back once.

"And then I told you, I'm fine."

"Juls just knock it off!" Sam jumps in.

"Excuse me? I can talk to Kian if I want to Sam, no one needs to hear your input" I shoot back.

Why are they being so tense and rude?

"THATS IT!" Kian says as he pulls to the side of the road.

"JULIA YOU ARE NOT GOING GO BE APART OF THIS ANYMORE! I NEVER WANTED YOU TO BE! I CARE ABOUT YOU! NOW PLEASE, ugh, just let's all calm down I'm sorry" Kian puts his elbows on his knees with his head rested in his hands.

"Just drive" I roll my eyes.

Calm down you're being a bitch

Maybe I'm in a bitchy mood OK!?

Kian combs back his hair with his fingers. He looks back down the road letting out a sigh and continues driving.

About 10 minutes later,

"Kian can we just drop Juls off & ditch?" Sam says.

"Yeah cool" Kian replies.

"Why can't I just ditch too?"

"Because you need to go to school to not look suspicious" Sam says.

"I'll be fine, I have an ankle injury from PE"

"Jul, you're going back ok? What's the big deal?"

"That you're treating me like I'm some goody goody who can't fend for herself." I mumble to myself.

"What was that huh?" Kian says sternly.

I hate when he says things sternly, it's scary.

"Nothing." I reply while turning my face to look out the window.

"JULIA TELL ME RIGHT NOW" Kian says while yet again pulling over.

"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING IT WAS NOTHING!" I say now raising my voice.

"BECAUSE THE MORE I KNOW THE MORE I CAN KEEP YOU SAFE!" Kian's looking back at me now.

"FIRST OF ALL I CAN FEND FOR MYSELF, SECOND OF ALL IF I SAID IT WAS NOTHING THAT MEANS IT WASNT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW!"

"JULIA SHUT THE HELL UP OK! JUST SIT BACK AND WE ARE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL WHERE YOU'LL BE SAFE! THATS THAT!"

I sit back and look at him dead in the eye.

He just told me to shut up.

Did I hear that right,

Shut. Up.

My mouth is dropped and I look at him with tears starting to form in my eyes.

I get out of the car and I start to run, as fast as I can towards school.

I hear Sam calling behind me, I can't make out what he's saying though.

I'm just focusing on running to school which is about a mile away from where we pulled over, and wiping my tears as I go.
