World's apart, but hearts intertwined.
The world of losing a love we find,
A sense of pain defined.
Was it so wrong to love one so refined?A fondness never once I'll forget,
The tenderness of innocence,
The pain of a teenage woman,
So young but grown,
So strong but pained,
The love of a soul so whole with a heart so broken. Was it in vain that we dreamt?
The cobbled paths we'd drawn,
The beautiful sons on our mowed lawn.
Is love just but a loan?Did someone collect?
Or was it some mistake I made,All that's left,
Are songs of a silent mind,
A soulless sullen tone of the blind,
The sweet poison of a collective past.
The depressing twinge of happy memories,World's apart but still hold on to a hope,
The all so familiar stranger,
The impossible dream of yesterday's redemption.
