Some weeks passed by and Bruce hasn't gotten a hold of Marinette at all because she would always run away. Whenever Bruce was anywhere near her, she would notice and make a run for it with her butler that was usually by her side.

Bruce's pov

I was watching the news in the living room when a reporter stated,

Breaking news! The Joker and his gang of criminals are being accompanied to arkham asylum by a young girl. Apparently, they're turning themselves in all because of this wonderful girl they've encountered. They promised they'd mentally change and come back as new people. Now wasn't that sweet.

The reporter walked over to a girl and they zoomed in on her face.

MARINETTE

"What's your name miss"

"My name is Marinette. And, these so called criminals are friends and helped me recover from a major loss. They are now considered family to me and they said the only way our relationship could work, would be if they were mentally stable and know what they were doing to make me happy."

"And, do you not have others to help you get through your major loss"?

" Yes, I came here in search of my family, but sadly, I was turned down and the way I saw it, I was replaced. But, besides them, I had my last friend that joined me here to Gotham. And that would be my butler Ian Kindroughl"!

"Oh that's great. Especially now that we won't need of Batman and his team"!

" Well, I wouldn't say that. I mean, I'm sure they'll still be doing patrol and take down the muggers. And now, they can all feel a bit more relieved ".

" you sure are right Marinette, now they'll have time to do whatever they please. That was it for today's biggest scoop and... "

The reporter talked about other things but now I wondered. What was I supposed to do if all of the villains were now in arkham asylum? What was the point of being Batman? Well, except for fighting crime of course but, all of the major goons, they were now all gone.

What was the point of even living if I had no doing in that big event! But then I thought of Sabine's letter. I had a daughter, and I had to protect her from the crown. Because with the crown, comes responsibility.

It was a lovely Tuesday early morning so of course, no one was awake. But Marinette, she looked like an early riser. And right now, I was thinking on how to get her back. And after thinking, I felt so stupid.

"ALFRED"!!!

" master Bruce, there is no need for yelling. I am right here".

"Oh, right. Today, we are collecting Marinette whether she likes it or not".

" Oh, and how do you plan on doing that"?

At school

Marinette went to her usual classes and felt more secure. She was now in PE class and for once, she was going to dress out. Her month wasn't really complete, but she felt stupid not being able to do anything. So she decided it was time. And, she decided to cover more of her visible scars with make-up.

When Marinette went down for role call, most people gasped. They've never seen her down at this part of the gym. And they've especially never seen her arms. But they looked normal, so, why would she want to hide them. There was no need.

"Ooh, Marinette, you have finally joined us"! Happily cheered the gym teacher.

" Yes, I'm better". She gave him a certain look that said she's still hiding it though.
