Classes were soon over and Marinette found Ian waiting for her in their usual spot. She got in the car but stopped him from driving away.

"I've made an agreement for both of us to stay with the Wayne's. Apparently, that's what mother wanted".

" Yes Marinette, I know. She told me, just in case I survived, to take you to them, though after that entire rejection, and the Batman incident, I then decided against it. To protect you from them. But if you want to go, we'll go then".

"Thank you for understanding Sir Kindroughl. You have been very kind to me".

" Yes, because you deserve it. Now, let's go home, pack some things and, go I guess".

"Don't worry. Everything will be alright".

" I hope it is".

They drove off back to their apartment and packed their clothes and extra things. Especially the things left after the downfall of the throne.

They got into the car and drove off to their new home. Or, Marinette's home as a child.

They arrived at the front gates and they opened. The car went past and the gates quickly closed. Ian parked the car and opened the door for his young one. She stepped out and held his hand. And like that, the two walked up the steps. Ready to face the world. Or, something like that.

Ian rung the doorbell and Bruce opened. He looked at her and then at him and led the two inside. He was about to speak but Marinette put her hand up.

"What did we agree on, father".

She glared at him and he stepped back.

She walked up the stairs and opened her bedroom door. Everything was covered in white protection sheets and plastic wrapped around every single thing. Even the useless  pencils she left on the floor were protected with plastic.

Must've been Alfred or something, she thought. She opened her supply closet and found a few dusters. So she worked on getting rid of the spider webs and dust stuck on surfaces first.

And after some time, she finished her cleaning and carefully undid all of the protection sheets. And there, her room came back to life.

Tikki was released and Marinette closed the door. Tikki looked everywhere and was shocked. Marinette had to let go of this wonderful place. A place that actually felt like home. And the moment she met Tikki, it was just another weight put on her shoulders because of her attitude.

Tikki felt guilty. Marinette just looked at everything then walked to one of her nightstands. She picked up a picture frame. It was her and Jason. One of her favorite moments when they went to a zoo together. Just the two.

But some days ago, she bumped into him and he didn't recognize her at all. Instead, he just yelled at her for not looking where she was going. Her heart cracked that day. Just a bit.

She held a strong grip on that frame then opened her door. She flung the picture frame out and it broke. The glass shattered everywhere and she just glared at it.

She saw more picture frames with Jason and flung those out as well. She took another look through her room and saw some frames with her and Dick.

She was lost a while ago and asked a stranger. Apparently, it was him who she asked. And he looked like he was definitely talking to a complete stranger. That also cracked her heart a bit more.

She was forgotten so she angrily flung those frames out as well. Her family forgot about her.

She lastly looked up at her family portrait. It also included Selina. The seven were very happy. Her, Jason, Dick, Selina, Bruce, Alfred and Titus were happy on this day. It was her fifth birthday. And a few weeks before she left for China.

She was about to grab the portrait off the wall but thought about it. Maybe she should leave this one. In the end, it could be used as a dart target board to make things more interesting. So she left it.

She once again closed the door and now looked at her bedroom. Free from her past memories and much more. She pulled out her phone and was about to call Adrien when she thought against it.

He could be asleep. So she put her phone away and walked towards her balcony. She was lucky she even had this room. This was one of the three rooms that had a balcony. And the other two were used as storage. She smiled.

Tikki floated besides her also landing on the side of the balcony. Marinette had potted plants, but they were dead. And the vines that hugged the rails were also dead. Even her rose bush she used to love as a kid.

Tikki saw her eyes and decided to use her powers for her owner for once. She used her powers and brought back the lives of those plants. And this made Marinette happy. There were little sparks of colors floating everywhere and restoring the lost lives of her plants.

Marinette smiled brightly to see her plants very alive and full of color again. They looked just like the day she left them.

She heard a car come through the gates and looked up. She forgot her room was the center of the manor and that was why she could see the gates.

It appeared to be Alfred and that Damian boy. More known as Robin. Marinette returned back to her bedroom and closed her balcony doors. She looked at her closet and saw how it only had her small girl clothes. So Marinette filled it more with her new sized clothes.

She worked on her homework and put it all away when she was done. She pulled out her sketchbook and worked on some more designs. She got a little bored because her room seemed boring so she pulled out three laptops.

She signed into each of them and was glad she got rid of the tracking chips. She started hacking into the Paris security cameras and used one of her other computers to open her files of suspects for Hawkmoth. And in her third computer, she was going to hack into the home security systems. Because everyone had one no matter what.

She started typing like a freak and Tikki didn't think this was normal.

"Uh, Marinette? Is it okay for a human to type using inhuman speed"?

" Tikki, if you have forgotten, I'll refresh your memory. I'm a halfblood. I'm a vampire". She whispered.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot".

"No worries Tikki".

Marinette kept on working on that and then heard her name being called.

" miss Mari, why is there such a large mess right outside your door"?

Marinette stopped typing and turned around to see Alfred. She carefully scanned him and walked towards him.

"Did you also forget about me? Or did someone remind you" .

"Marinette, creatures like us, we, we never forget about creatures like you. No matter the hundreds of years that go by". He smiled at her and she quickly hugged him.

" We're very alike, miss Marinette".

Fun facts

I'll have to start writing some more chapters for this story very soon

Uhm, I don't like marshmallows, though I think I've already mentioned it. Probably not though.

And, my favorite Batboy has to be either Tim or Jason. I mean, I love them both too much to even be able to choose. Or, I just ship them too much. I dunno
