Ronnie bit her lip as she met Roman's eyes at the front of the class, he was setting up his presentation still and she was kinda early, Dean had gone to get a coffee and there were about 8 other students in the room with them but Roman's eyes were only focused on one.

He sat at this desk and chewed on his thumb nail nervously, everything was going down tonight and yeah, he was slightly nervous, but that was only because he had never called in a favour from his cousins since they-

He took a shaky breath and rubbed a hand down his face at the thought. Then he looked back up at her, breath catching as she had this cute little frown on her face, reading something. He couldn't lose her. Well, more so than he already had.

Ronnie looked up when she felt his stare and he blinked and opened his mouth to say something but then Dean came barrelling into the classroom, coming to sit next to Ronnie with two coffee cups and Roman smiled, cuz he could tell it was a white chocolate mocha in Ronnie's cup, he took a breath and looked back at his computer screen as she made her lips into an 'O' shape to blow lightly at the coffee while Dean animatedly spoke to her

"Settle down." Roman began, standing up and straightening his reading glasses as his class quieted down

"Today's lecture is about Greek Mythology and why it's regarded as one of the most important aspects in Literature," Roman introduced, clasping his hands in front of his stomach as he began walking

"Now I know you all might be thinking, well what's so great about basically folk tales about gods and goddesses and men and women who probably never actually existed?" Roman asked smiling softly, remembering when he had that same mindset

"But it's all about the lessons behind the stories, the reason for the plot, the ideas that are meant to change philsophy, challenge your minds and find another outcome," Roman spoke as he tilted his head, still pacing the front of the class

"I'm sure many of you know the story of Icarus, the man who flew too close to the sun," Roman said and smiled sadly, his favourite story actually

He watched the class and his eyes strayed to where Ronnie was sitting and looking at him with a small smile because she knew it was his favourite as well and he returned her smile briefly

"So anyone who knows the legend of Icarus, can give your opinion please, open discussion, no wrong answers," Roman said, resting against the edge of his desk and bracing his arms to his sides and his eyes scanned over the class before he grinned

"Yes Veronica?" He asked, and she smiled back at him

"I think Icarus had alot of misguided ambition and that caused his downfall." She answered and Roman hummed

"Okay, care to elaborate?" He asked, squinting as he folded his arms across his chest, making his biceps strain against his baby blue shirt and Ronnie had to pause a moment to focus back on and like he knew exactly what happened when she hesitated, Roman smiled.

"Well his father Daedalus, built these wax wings for his son and before that, warned him that he shouldn't fly too close to the sun, but knowing that- shouldn't he have just not made the wings in the first place? Seems almost like a false sense of love," she said, speaking her opinion

"Fair point Veronica, but I'm going to speak in contradiction-"

"Of course you are," she muttered and he smiled and briefly gazed at the floor before he looked back at her

"So you don't believe that someone would do anything for the person they love in order for them to live out their dreams?" He asked and Ronnie froze, sensing the deeper meaning behind his words as he gazed intently at her
