I found myself in some sort of plaza.

The whole area was covered in a bright, white colored brick, and there were buildings that lined the paths that filtered away from where I was standing in the plaza. Grass poked through the bricks at my feet. Some shops were seen in the alleyways in the distance, and they gave off a comfortable feel. I felt the warmth of the sun on my back as I looked around, sighing. The air smelled somewhat familiar, like one of the food shops further in town was making something particularly delicious, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. I felt at peace. Calm. But, what was I doing here..? The comforting atmosphere had nearly distracted me from the fact that this was definitely not where I was supposed to be. The last thing I remember.. was laying down. I must've fallen asleep.

Oh, so this must be some sort of dream. Weird, because I was particularly sensitive to what was going on in the environment around me. I heard footsteps and some talking in one of the distant alleyways. Curious, I sat down on one of the many nearby benches. Maybe they'd pass by me?

Emerging from the alleyway was a boy of average height, with fluffy, teal hair. His eyes shone of a forest green, and he had freckles covering his cheeks. He wore what almost looked like robes of some kind with somewhat loose pants and sandals. But what was most interesting about him, was that he had a deer tail and antlers. They protruded out of his mop of fluffy hair and stood out a bit taller than his head. They were a lovely white, and were most certainly very beautiful. He was speaking to someone behind him, who stepped out of the shadows of the alleyway a moment after he did.

Imagine my confusion when I realized it was me.

I was the one he was talking to. There were a few differences, like my hair was a slightly different color and I was a bit more tanned. My eyes were a bit differently colored as well.. But that was definitely me. No, no.. that's impossible. I'm standing right here. What's happening? I don't even know this guy!

They made their way over to me, and I quickly moved out of the way. They both sat where I had been sitting on the bench, acting like I wasn't there. They continued to speak. This time I could hear what they were saying, though.

"Please?? I swear, it won't backfire this time. I'm just having such a hard time understanding how to cast it." I saw my dream self speak to the teal haired boy, putting her hands together, she begged. "And normal cure just isn't doing the job anymore!" I felt my eyebrows furrow in confusion.

He shook his head, almost disappointed, and then looked up at the fluffy clouds in the sky. "Last time we tried cura you about killed me! I don't even know how you can hurt someone trying to cast cura, but you found out a way," he chuckled.

"Look, Zavier, I reeeally need it- you don't want me dying out in the field, do you?" He sighed. "Alright, alright. I'll think about it," he said. She smiled and hugged him excitedly. "Thank you!" He ruffled my hair with a content smile plastered on his face. Watching this was really, really confusing. Why could I feel when he ruffled my dream self's hair? I reached up and touched the top of my head, where my hair was messed up. What was going on here?

"Anyways," he cleared his throat. "I have something important to tell you." He suddenly seemed a lot more serious, and he had a somewhat protective look about him. "What is it?" She questioned, letting him go. She folded her hands into her lap.

He looked around, and once he noticed that no one else was around, he lowered his voice."There's this.. person. I think they've been following me on missions. I really only see him every now and then, but whenever I do, I can sense their darkness. And it's really bothering me." He was fiddling with his hands, obviously a little nervous. "And as your brother, I just want to make sure that you're safe. Please look out for whoever it is. If you see him, get out of the area, and come find me. I don't care where you are, just come back here and try to find me," he said. He was very serious, that much was for sure. "I want to make sure you're safe."
