Gripping the handle of my whip, I took a deep breath. My eyes landed on a heartless- a blue colored on in the air. It was kind of bell shaped. I watched it summon ice and throw it at Demyx, who had just killed one of the smaller ones on the ground. He summoned and maneuvered some water around him to catch the insanely sharp bit of ice and threw it back at the blue heartless. It immediately dissolved into a cloud of black and purple smoke.. and released a pink, glimmering heart up into the air. It rose up and disappeared. So that must be what we're trying to gather.. A couple small pieces of some yellowish looking crystal fell on the ground. A little bubble filled with what looked like the green liquid I drank before the mission followed the crystals. Demyx swooped by and picked both of the things put before continuing to fight. I took notes.

Now, it was my turn. I spotted another heartless in the air- one that was red. It was almost like it made eye contact with me at the same time I did with it, because it quickly flew closer and flung fire at me. I jumped out of the way, and I swung my whip at it. The ends of the lines made contact with the heartless, and it slashed it into bit and pieces before proofing into smoke. It also dropped goods, and I picked them up. Not only did the heartless drop the prizes I saw earlier, but it also dropped a very small chest the size of my palm. I would have to open that later.

Next I targeted one of the smaller ones on the ground. It dissolved in one swing, too. I picked up the prizes. Me and Demyx destroyed the group, leaving none of them alive. Once the last one had been taken care of, some more spawned in. They looked stronger and bigger, a few being about half of my height. They had metal on them and clanged as they moved. There were about six of them.

Three charged at me, and three at Demyx. I stood back and swung my whip at them, hearing the tails whistle through the air. They took a couple more hits than the smaller heartless, but they still went down with relative ease. Demyx didn't have any problems with the ones that went after them, so in a flash the newer ones were gone too. More and more of them started to appear with some of the weaker ones from earlier.

After while of slashing through them, we finally got rid of them all. We watched for a moment to make sure that no more would appear, and finally relaxed. Then heartless were gone.

I looked over at Demyx, who was looking kind of tired and completely unimpressed with the whole experience. He looked a little battered but overall okay. No injuries. He stretched and looked at me. "(Y/X/N)! You okay?" I raised my eyebrow at his worried tone. "Huh? Yeah, I'm fine."

He walked over and touched my cheek, and I winced. The small poke was painful. "Damn," I hissed. "Guess I got hit."

"Looks like one of those Red Nocturnes got you. Did you pick up any of those little green bubbles?" He asked. He pulled one out of his pocket to show me. I matched him and pulled one out of my pocket too. "Try eating it. Or you can crush it and rub it on your face. Whatever you want."

Huh.. so these things were edible? Okay..

I placed the orb in my mouth and lightly chomped down, letting the bubble pop. It was just enough of the potion liquid for a single gulp. So gulping it down, I touched my cheek where the burn was. I felt my skin scab over and then stitch itself together beneath my finger tips. "Huh."

"Yeah," he said. "Cool, right? They're basically potions. I know heartless drop them but they're totally safe to use. Heartless also drop little chests and munny you can use to buy things in stores and the little moogle in the grey room. "

Oh, so that's munny. I don't think I've seen the moogle but I'm sure I will at some point. "Well, that's good to know."

"And now that it looks like we killed all of the heartless.. let's get out of here! I can't take much more of this heat!" I agreed with him. I watched as he opened up one of the portals. "Thank god for dark corridors," he whined as he walked through. Ah.. so the portals were called dark corridors. Regardless, I followed him.
