Once we returned to the castle, I could feel how tired I was. I'd never fought things before.. and while the ice cream trip and meeting Roxas and Xion was fun, I was exhausted. As we stepped into the grey room, Roxas, Axel, and Xion were chatting about something I didn't have the ability to focus on. A mild headache pulsed in the back of my head, and staring at Axel while he was talking to the other two wasn't helping me either.

His mannerisms were full of charm, and though I was too focused on his smile I could still hear him talking. The smooth and mischievous tone of his voice drowned out the words he was saying, and I once again noticed the purple marks under his eyes. What were they for? I'd have to ask sometime.

Once I tuned into the conversation the three were having, I realized it was the redhead saying his goodbyes to the other two. He ruffled their hair each, and they smiled at him before leaving. Then, he turned to me. "Hey (Y/X/N)," he said. "You feeling alright? No offense, but it looks like someone beat you with a club." I rubbed the back of my neck. "I guess I am kinda worn out. Fist day," I chuckled awkwardly.

"Well, why don't I take you back to your room? Im sure you don't remember the place yet," he suggested. I nodded. "That'd be nice."

The next few minutes were filled with just the both of us, walking down the hallway to my room. He walked a little bit in front of me, and behind him I reminisced on the morning before. How he'd held me to his chest while calming me. How calm his voice was. How he made me feel safe in this new place. I felt my cheeks redden.

"Got a fever?" He asked, looking back at me. His gaze almost made me feel like he wasn't as oblivious to how I was feeling as I thought he was. I was constantly a tomato around him. I feel like it was almost obvious. "Maybe?" I shrugged. I wanted to break eye contact with him but I couldn't make myself do it. "Really?" He turned and stood in front of me, looming over me with his hands on his hips. He was so much taller than me, and I almost felt like he was cornering me despite being in an open hallways. He went to put his hand on my forehead and I immediately knew what he was doing.

I moved out of the way of his hand and he smiled curiously. "If you don't have a fever, then why are you avoiding my hand?" I crossed my arms. "Well.. I wouldn't want you getting sick! What if contact with me would get you sick too?? Who knows what I have??"

"Then we'll be sick together!" He moved to try to take my temperature again and I dodged him again. I ran down the hallway a little ways away and he shook his head. "Aww, c'mon.. be a good sport!" He started to come at me and I ran down the hall to avoid him. I found myself giggling along the way and I heard him laugh a bit too behind me. The sound of our laughs and boots against the floor echoed against the boring grey walls, adding more life to the place.

Finally, he had me cornered in a doorway. Looming over me, he folded one of his arms against the door so he could lean himself against it, and the other was being used to take my temperature. His hand was hot against my forehead. Looking up at him, I felt like a little rabbit who had been trapped by a fox. His neon eyes gleamed with the win that came with catching his prey. He smirked at me. "No fever. Then why in the world did you run from me?" His voice mocked me, but I kept myself up instead of cowering. "Thrill of the chase?" I saw him roll his eyes at me.

In a flash, he opened the door. I felt myself fall back since I had my weight on it before it had gotten opened. Before I could get too far he caught me by the waist. Surprised, my breath hitched and I looked up at him. I could feel how wide my eyes were, and he looked at me like he had meant to do what he had done. God, this guy...

He straightened up and let me go. He looked amused with himself. "Welcome to your room."

No way I was in my room..
