I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas, even when we went over Christmas Day to see my mother, it didn't dampen my mood. My father wasn't there which made it all the better. I loved how my mother and her got on so well, although she was a slight bit concerned when she saw the ring laced on Blair's neck. I didn't want to go back to school I wanted it to stay this way forever. What I wasn't expecting was her to go back to being distant as soon as we returned. Her time completely filled, she struggled to make time for me. We either saw each other in class or late at night when she'd sneak into my room. But she was always so tired, she looked drained, it was difficult to ever get a conversation out of her. It bothered me, probably more than it should have. It was like she threw our entire Christmas away, completely forgetting about me. I didn't understand what else could be so important.

With nothing else to do, with Blair nowhere to be seen I returned to Snape, most of my time now spent with him. How sad was that? But I had a target to meet, if I could read her mind maybe I would be able to see what she was up to.
I stood in front of Snape, my wand pointing directly at him, as if he was allowing me to do this. He didn't look frightened, his usual plain face remained the same. I took a deep breathe, positioned my self correctly before the flick of my wand, "Legilimens!" I shouted. Suddenly a flash of images flooded my mind, a different world, a young boy who I presumed was Snape looking at a small girl with bright red hair, glowing orange. The moment was sweet, a connection but it soon came back to a stop, being pushed back into reality. Snape looked shocked, hurt.
"Are you okay Professor?" I said after a moment of silence. He regained his stance but his face still ran pail. He looked away from me, walking towards his desk.
"You both remind me of us. Of me and Lily." He muttered.
"Who? Me and Blair?" I questioned.
"Don't let her go."

Returning back to the common room I could get Snapes words out of my head, don't let her go. It made sense on why he was so miserable, he'd lost the person he loved and I felt bad for him for that. Soon my space was invaded by the one and only Pansy Parkinson. She sat next to me on the green leather sofa, a mischievous smirk indented on her face.
"You'll never guess what I just saw." Her eyes had an evil glow to them.
"I'm waiting." I moaned. Surely something about Granger, her worst enemy. I didn't care.
"The Dumbledore's army is a real thing, I saw it." She began to explain.
"Where?" I cocked a brow.
"Don't interrupt I'm not finished. It's in the room of requirement, that's how they've been able to be so secretive, that's why we can't get in." She continued.
"Then let's go, let's rat them out." I jumped up.
"Will you shut up and let me finish!" She spat. "You might want to change your mind on that one." What was she on about? "You're perfect little Princess Blair is involved." No. No she's not. She'd have told me, surely? But it added up to her absences. I bolted for the exit, pursuing my hunt to find her. How dare she hide this from me? What else was she hiding?

I stormed through the corridors, pushing and shoving anyone in my way. I was furious, filled with rage. I was about to blow. How could I be so foolish? Why did I ever let my guard down? This is why in the first year I wanted to give it up, this is why I didn't want to fall for anyone because you can't trust anyone! I felt so betrayed, lied to, it was a massive stab in the back and by the person I cared and trusted the most. My eyes caught on to my prey, with Neville walking down the corridors, probably going to a secret meeting I wound myself up more.
"Blair!" I shouted. She whipped around, when she saw me charging towards her, her smile dropped.
"Draco hey," her voice was quiet, she knew something was wrong. "Can we talk later I've got somewhere I need to be." Is she taking the piss?
"No!" I demanded, Neville stepped back slightly, worried eyes. "Piss off Neville." I ordered, he looked up at Blair fear clear. She gave him a quick nod and he fled the scene.
"If this is about Neville, I'm just being a friend, he's going through a hard time." Was she really that oblivious? Didn't think I would find out?
"This isn't about Neville, this is about you!" I spat, her brows knitted together as scowled up at me. "You've been going behind my back!" It hurt to say, the hatred soon covered up my open wounds.
"What are you on about?" She seethed.
"Don't play stupid!" I shouted. "I know what you've been up to, Dumbledore's army!"
"Shh!" She grabbed my arm pulling us into a quiet corner, away from the audience we began to make. "I couldn't tell you." She said a lot more calmly. "You're a prefect, you'd have told Umbridge." She tried explaining but I was having none of it.
"You're unbelievable!" My arms flew into the air. "Don't try making excuses! You've betrayed me. For what? To learn how to fight, what did you think you were doing? This isn't like you!" She was far from the person I thought I knew.
"I haven't got a choice!" She defended. "You can try hide it from me all you want but he's back! Voldemort is back and we need to be ready."
"You've lost your mind!" I squealed. "Do you really think you and a bunch of kids are going to stop the Dark Lord?" I wasn't going to let her get involved in this. I wasn't going to let her change this around. "You lied to me! You've been lying to me all year!"
"You and your family are involved!" She shouted and my face dropped. "Don't you dare call me liar when you've been keeping secrets from me! Your father was there when Cedric died and you knew! You didn't tell me!" She argued.
"You didn't need to know! It changes nothing between me and you." Maybe I should have told her, but she proved to me now that I was right not to, because I couldn't trust her.
"Yes it does Draco! It changes everything. You let me go to your house, meet your father, a person who was involved in my friends death!" She fought back the tears that pooled in her eyes.
"I can't fucking do this. I can't trust you!" I shouted. "Take back every word, every word I've ever said to you!"
"You're just going to leave?" Her voice began to shake.
"Tell your friends to sharpen their teeth!" I shouted before storming away.
"You coward!" She screamed but I wasn't  listening, I didn't want to hear anything more she had to say.

My new destination Umbridge's office, her and the rest of her friends would pay for this. She looked up at me a massive smirk on her face.
"Follow me!" I commanded. "I know where Dumbledore's Army is hiding." With out hesitation she got up from her desk, following my fast pace, I could hear her trots behind me. I saw Blair trying to escape, grabbing her by the hood of her cloak I dragged her along with us. Stopping straight in front of the opening, she tried to get out of my hold but my hands were locked.
"They're in there." I nodded. Umbridge got out her wand.
"I'll make short work of this." She oozed. Casting a spell the bricks exploded, dust and bricks flying everywhere, Blair stuttered back into my chest, where I pushed her off. The giant hole revealing us to the pathetic students that had all followed Harry's orders, I made sure he saw me. Looked him dead in the eyes, holding Blair up so he knew who the snake was. "Get them!"

After handing them all in which filled me with the greatest thrill, I decide to make my way back to the crime. I wanted to visually see where shed been hiding. Filch was sweeping up the dust that covered the floors underneath us. The place was filled with mirrors, like a dance studio. I walked up to one mirror in particular. Cedric's photo stood out over the rest. So instead of being with me, she was practicing fighting for him. This was all for him. Another lie she told me, she told me she never cared for him but she clearly lied once again. Had anything she ever told me been the truth? Or was it all just a game? I would never get over this.
