It had been five days since the missile had hit Stark Tower. You were sat eating cereal in front of the tv, in the lonely mansion. No one had bothered to ring you or tell you that they were okay. "We believe there may still be people trapped up there, but are unreachable at this time," said the reporter, it was the same thing you'd heard for the past four days. When you had arrived in Malibu, the missile had hit the tower. Every minute that passed you got more and more nervous about what had actually happened. You wished you were there, so you knew what was going on, but you had promised Bucky that you would leave.

"Footage of the famous jet owned by the avengers was recorded moments before the missile hit the tower, many wonder if those living in the tower were in there," said the reporter. This was new information. You watched as the captured footage showed the jet leaving. You prayed that everyone was on it.

As hours turned into days, you wandered the halls of the empty mansion, your phone almost glued to your hand, waiting to hear anything from the team. As the days went by you started to lose hope, it was like when Bucky was recaptured all over again. Except this time it was your whole family that was gone, and you didn't know where they were and if they were okay, you didn't even know if they were alive. You tried to stay positive, but it was hard, every few hours the thought you had locked away in the back of your mind would move forward, am I going to have to raise this baby alone?, but you continued to push the thought away.

Turning up the volume of the tv when an image of Stark Tower came up, the missile had hit the middle of the tower, and the whole place was ruined. "Bomb squad have cleared the building for no more explosives, and the fire department are going in to rescue those trapped, although there is little hope left that they are alive if they can reach them" said the reporter. You muted the tv and went down into your dad's lab. You opened the door, it was cold and empty, he hadn't been here in so long. You looked around at everything in here, as a child this was your favourite room, it always had been. You sat down by his desk and computer, facing his collection of Iron Man suits. You tried not to cry or not to think about whether if anyone was trapped up there or whether anyone hadn't made it out in time.

You must've fallen asleep at Tony's desk, but you were awoken by a persistent knocking at the door. You went up to the door, and looked at the security footage showing the front door. You couldn't make out who it was, but the person was stood in all black with a baseball cap lowered over their face, "Who is it," you said from behind the door. Their head snapped up, and you watched as the man searched for the camera you were watching him through. When he spotted it, he used his gun to shoot the camera, the lens smashed loudly and you jumped.

Running back to where your phone was you tried texting Steve, Tony, Nat and Bucky. You rang their phones but it went to voicemail. You could hear the man trying to knock the door down, you ran down to the lab and opened the door. Just as you opened the door to a car, you heard a gunshot ring out, the window of the car smashing. "Don't hurt me," you said, shaking, "I'll do whatever you want just please don't hurt me," you held your hands above your head.

"Get in the car," said the man, his voice was harsh. You did as he said. Not waiting for an opportunity for him to kill you, you hit the gas and turned the car out the lab, and out to above the ground.

-------------------

When you were sure you weren't being followed, you made your way into the centre of LA. Your heart was racing in your chest and you tried to get through to your dad or Bucky again but there was still nothing. Parking the car you got out and headed into a hotel. "I need a room," you said, shaking still.

Once in the room, you tried to clear out your head. Whoever that man was and whoever he was working for clearly knew your relationship to Tony or Bucky, and they clearly wanted to use you to hurt them. Tears started to form in your eyes, as you realised that you had to leave until the team had taken out all the HYDRA bases. You had to get away from this danger, you had a son to raise and you couldn't put him in danger. It was going to kill you to walk away from Bucky but until you knew it was safe that was what you had to do.

You sent one final message to both your dad and Bucky, telling them that you were leaving. And that when they had found a new safety for the team to let you know and that you would be back in a heartbeat. You then turned off your location on your phone before putting in your bag. It was time to start a new chapter. A chapter that hopefully would bring you back to Bucky. Because you knew that you couldn't live without him. You just had to for a while. But a while isn't forever.

You checked the news one final time before your vow to move on. "Fire department are still up there, updates to come," said the reporter, "No one has heard from Tony Stark or his team of avengers, so we have no answers to our questions, stay tuned for updates,

You would just have to wait for someone to text you. All you could do was wait.
