CLARA'S POV
I had on a pair of black shorts with a white short sleeved T-shirt, since my wounds had healed and only the tiniest of scars was visiable. Today was the day I would under-go my evaluation to see if I was ready to go back in the field. It had only been two weeks, but I followed Harry's suggestion and rested a lot, and I felt as good as new already.
The only real spy work I had to do in the past two weeks was fending Sydney off my back since I couldn't tell her much about my mission, and try to pretend that Harry was my boyfriend. Harder then it seems, especially since Sydney wants us to kiss every god-damn second. I chuckled at my friend and her happiness for me that a spy had finally been able to have a normal boyfriend. If she only knew...
"Ready?" Harry asked me after I had crossed over the long, green field and into the gym in the training area.
"You're doing my evaluation?" I asked, mentally groaning.
"Yes ma'am," he said, a slight grin on his face.
"But you can't be in here civilians aren't supposed to be in here!" I remembered and panicked, glad that no one seemed to be in the gym.
"Good thing I'm not a civilian then," Harry said, walking over to a mat and standing on it, then turned and watched me as I hadn't followed him. "Relax, the Director cleared out the gym today so no one would see me," he said, getting into a fighting stance. "Now let's go."
I walked over to him and took my shoes off, then took my place on the mat, my arms mirroring his. We began, and just circled around each other for awhile, sizing each other up. I didn't like to attack first, and apparently neither did Harry. I was about to say something when his fist came up and made it's way to my face, stopping an inch away.
"Focus," he told me. I gritted my teeth, mad that he had gotten a punch on me. I waited again for him to make the first move, and when he didn't I realized he was studying me intently, waiting for me to let my guard down like I had before. I pretended to let my guard down for a second, and watched as Harry's leg came up, trying to hit me in the head. I guickly grabbed it, twisting it in my hands and watching him fall to the ground as his body tried to move with his foot so it wouldn't break. He landed on his back, and I brought my arm up and struck down at his face, stopping an inch away.
"Focus," I told him, grinning and offering him my hand so he could get up. Harry wasn't pleased though, and got up on his own, his fists slightly whiter then usual. I loved his temper.
He didn't wait this time, but instead threw his front arm at me, which I blocked, then quickly sent his back fist towards my face which I blocked with my other hand. This however left my stomach wide open, so Harry quickly brought his knee up, hoping to strike me in the stomach. I spun and his knee missed, and I was in the perfect position, still in front of him, to place an elbow to his temple.
"Very good," Harry said, trying to hide his anger but I could tell he was entertained by this. "Let's see if you can run a simulation fine." I followed him into the simulation room and helped him set it up for the quickest one, 10 minutes, then began my mission. I completed it in six minutes, meeting Harry in the monitor room where you could see everything. He was smiling, waiting for me. "I'm impressed. I've seen enough, you're ready to be back in the field," he told me. I couldn't help but smile, grateful to be back in action.
"So what now?" I asked, my arms crossing over my chest.
"Now we go to Director Rain and get our mission," he told me, pushing himself off the wall to get ready to move. I turned away quickly, excited to get to the Director's office and get my mission. Or our mission.. I still wasn't sure how I felt about being partners with Harry. Sure he was hot as shit but could I trust him?
