HARRY'S POV

The ring I had just put on Clara's hand fit her well, and by the way she was looking at it, I could tell she really liked it. I would have smiled if I wasn't so mad at her, but I'm just glad I stopped whatever was going on in that room before it went any further.

I asked the General if we could start the mission early since I knew our house was ready and we were only starting the next day so we could have a break. I still couldn't believe how Bryce kissed her in front of me, or how Clara kissed him back.

I pushed my feelings to the side though and put on a big smile, opening the car door and going around to Clara's door to open it for her. When I saw her face, her smile seemed to match mine. I took her hand and helped her out of the car even though there wasn't anyone near as far as I could tell.

I heard movement from the end of our driveway and looked over to see a few couples heading towards us, wearing their own big smiles.

"Hi neighbors! We thought you were coming tomorrow, if we had known you were coming early we all would have baked you something!" one of the wifes exclaimed, looking me up and down for a split second. I rested my arm on Clara's back and looked down at her.

"It's fine! We just really couldn't wait to start our life together," I said, giving Clara an admiring look, which she returned.

"Ah, newly weds!" the wife's husband spoke, out stretching his hand to me. "We're the Thompsons, this is Jane and I'm Bill," he said as we shook hands. I almost laughed at how simple and boring their names sounded, almost fake. I took a mental note to keep an eye on them.

"I'm Charles Murphy and this is my beautiful wife, Evelyn," I said, introducing her to everyone.

"Beautiful indeed," another man spoke, shaking Evelyn's hand first then mine briefly. "I'm Enrique and this is my wife Karina," the exotic looking man said, introducing his even more exotic looking wife. I also made a mental note to keep an eye on them since he hit on Clara. The other couple introduced themselves as Marty and Patricia, and they seemed the most normal out of all of them.

"We would love to throw you guys a little house warming party!" Jane said, and all the wives agreed.

"That would be lovely! Are you sure it's not too much trouble?" Clara polietly accepted.

"Not at all! We love new people!" Karina said, only the slighest hint of an accent.

"Okay then!" Clara smiled brightly. "That'll be fun, won't it, sweetie?" she turned to me.

"As long as you're there it will be," I said, placing a soft kiss on her check. Patricia giggled.

"We'll give you two some alone time to settle into your new home and such," she said.

"Yes, be at my house at 5:30! I live right across the street," Jane announced, and they all said good bye and left. I led Clara towards the door and opened it, allowing her to go in first before I stepped in, closing the door and immeditaely dropping my smile. When Clara turned to face me, her smile had disappeared as well.

"Our neighbors are faker than us," she said rolling her eyes, and I couldn't help but crack a small smile. Clara's face perked up a little when she saw the tiny smile but it didn't last long as I brushed past her without speaking to her.

I made my way into the kitchen, looking at how beautiful the home was. Everything about it screamed rich, but not in a way that it was shoved down you're throat. I liked it, and when I turned to see Clara admiring the kitchen, she looked like she did too. A strange feeling arose in me as I watched her look around the house as she rubbed the ring on her finger.
