Hello reader, my name is Asphodel_Apothecary. I started this fanfiction one night in 2020 after having the story stuck in my mind and the story has gone through multiple changes as I grew up and rediscovered who I was. With that being said, there are a few things about this fanfiction that are necessary for you to know. I grew up in a home with verbally and emotionally abusive narcissistic parents. My experiences growing up left me with a lot of trauma and I developed a few mental illnesses as of such. I didn't realize until 2020 what I had gone through and the type of people my parents were. I found myself creating this story as a self insert fanfiction with my comfort character, Severus Snape, whose story and personality I felt a deep connection to. I expressed alot of my hurt, trauma, and emotions and so much more into the story. While Felicis is no longer a self insert, I have chosen to have many of her emotions, morals and opinions be the same as my own as an homage to the beginnings of this fanfiction. I go into great detail with my stories where I can, and what I just mentioned will be no different. In addition to this, I plan on going into great detail of the death and trauma that will be brought about by the wars Voldemort caused. Children will live through trauma and be forced to grow up all too fast. They and others will be forced to face their own mortality, to contemplate how feeble life truly is. While there will be happy moments, this fanfiction is set to focus on a protagonist who is facing her inevatble death. If you think any of these things will unsettle you or trigger you, than I advise you not to read this fanfiction series. I will hold nothing against you if you choose not to and am completely understanding of such.

In this series Matilda Weasley eventually had one son. Her brother, G.Weasley fathered Garreth Weasley and an unnamed daughter. Garreth fathered Septimus Weasley, who would be the reason the Weasleys became considered blood-traitors. The family tree can be traced from there. As for the Gaunts, it starts with American sisters Rionach Sayre (neé Gaunt) and Gormlaith Gaunt. Rionach's husband was not a rich pureblood and she aided muggles, so her sister killed her. Rionach had one son before she died, Isolt Sayre, who was one of the founders for Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Somehow Corvinus Gaunt comes into the picture in Britain in the 1700's, his exact relation to Rionach and Gormlaith are unknown. A century later, Corvinus' lineage is traced to his paternal descendant, the canonically unnamed Lord Gaunt (who I might name for this fanfic). Lord Gaunt had a sister name Noctua, who never had children. Lord Gaunt had at least three children, the eldest was Marvolo Gaunt and the youngest was Ominis Gaunt. The family tree can be easily followed from here on.
