After July's first results in my attempts to create a spell to grant immortality with minimum consequences, progress has been made today in one of the spell's variations. In certain cases the magenta dome that surrounds the mudbloods after being struck with the spell remains until they expire. After multiple months of attempts to solve this, I was finally able to get rid of the dome by use of a pattern of latin incantations said in quick succession to force the dome inwards upon the mudbloods until their bodies' are forced to absorb its magic. The two mudbloods I tested on today have so far displayed the same symptoms after the forced absorption of the dome. The wounds they had sustained during capture healed (any wound created by magic immediately scarred), their skin gained a pearlescent hue, and they remained unconscious. The diagnostic spell I performed on them gave the results that the mudbloods were both comatose and deceased. Considering their hearts are still beating, I have come to the likely conclusion that they have stopped aging. Until now, the only result of the spell that affected aging slowed the rate at which the mudbloods tested upon aged. I will not be able to confirm or deny is the mudbloods have stopped aging until I can conduct an age test on them. Tekish, one of the house elves, will administer the mudbloods with nutrition potions until they wake.November 3rd, 1957
The mudbloods awoke from their comas today. They are weak, but that is likely the results of their bodies being supplied with nothing but the bare minimum of nutrition potions. Besides the weakness, the spell appears to not have retarded the mudbloods physically or mentally. No definite changes could physically be identified beyond the same pearlescent hue of their skin. Both Mudbloods birth dates and ages were acquired via veritaserum. The information will be used to properly perform an age test to confirm or deny if they have stopped aging. For now they will be continuously monitored.December 3rd, 1957
The mudbloods have fallen back into a coma. Their diet was healthy, they were provide enough mental stimulation, and their health was constantly monitored. The likely culprit is the spell. All attempts to wake them resulted in failure. Tekish will resume the administration of nutrition potions and they will continue to be monitored.March 8th, 1958
The mudbloods are still comatose. Mudblood one's birth date was today, the ageing test confirmed that it is not aging. It will be given one year to awake from the coma, it will be killed if not. If mudblood two shows the same results, the same situation will be given to it.June 19th, 1958
The mudbloods are still comatose. Mudblood two's birthdate was today and the results showed that it too was no longer aging. Daily monitoring will continue.November 3rd, 1958
The mudbloods have awoken. Curiously, it is precisely one year after they fell back into their comas. This result further suggests the comas are a effect of the spell. This variation of the spell may warrant further research.December 3rd, 1958
The mudbloods have fallen into a coma once more and a pattern has begun to emerge. They remained conscious for a month both times. If there is a pattern, it can be reasonably concluded they will awake from their comas on November 3rd of 1959.November 3rd, 1959
I was correct in my conclusion of when the mudbloods would awake from their coma. The mudbloods and the effects of the spell on them will be researched in hopes the information found will aide in the creation of a spell with the desired results.November 3rd, 1967
Not much documentation in this variation of my spell, which has now been identified as a failed casting, has occured after its intended results were discovered. Initially extensive research of this failed casting was performed due to its results being closer to the desired results than the intended results of a successful casting of the spell, but the same information was gathered every single time. As of such, the documentation on the mudbloods and how this failed casting of the spell is effecting them had been set aside until any signs of progression are seen. Today the mudbloods were found to be aging once more. An alternate date for the age tests will have to take place, more than likely every year on November 3rd.
