We all sit in a train on the ride into the upper ring of Ba Sing Se.

"Look, the inner wall!" Katara says excitedly as the train nears the wall.

"I can't believe we finally made it to Ba Sing Se in one piece." I say

"Hey don't jiinx it! We could still find out that we're gonna be attacked by a giant fire nation balloon, or that the city's been completely submerged an ocean of killer shrimp!" Sokka dramatises.

"You been hitting the cactus juice again?" Toph asks

"I'm just saying, weird stuff happened to us." He replies

A strange man sucking on some kind of pineapple flips down across from us, in between Sokka and Toph. Aang, Katara and I look out the window at the great city.

Aang looks away sadly. "Don't worry Aang, we'll find Appa soon." I try to comfort him.

"It's such a big city." Aang says defeatedly.

"He's a giant bison! Where could someone possibly hide him?" Sokka interrupts and pushes his way to the window.

We enter through the inner wall and look out at the wonder of Ba Sing Se, it's beautiful. Thousands of houses and markets litter the streets, looking strange but amazing at the same time. Its huge, stretching over miles and miles

"Oh." Sokka says.

The train brings us up to a place that sure looks like a huge palace but is actually a really posh train station. No gum in sight, nothing like normal train stations.

We walk out of the train and stare at the amazing landscape. "Back in the city, great." Toph says sarcastically

"What's the problem? It's amazing!" Sokka says

"Just a bunch of walls and rules! You wait, you'll get sick of it in a couple of days." Toph says.

Aang stands by the balcony and blows on the bison whistle. "I'm coming for you buddy." He says quietly.

I walk up next to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "He's here, I can't feel it." Aang says to me.

The train speeds off and a creepy smiling lady makes her way over to us. "Hello, my name is Joo Dee. I have been given the great honour of showing the avatar and his legend around Ba Sing Se. And you must be Sokka, Katara and Toph. Welcome to our wonderful city, shall we get started?" She asks

"Yes, we have information about the fire nation army that we need to deliver to the earth king as soon as possible." Sokka says

"Great, let's begin our tour. And then I'll show you to your new home here, I think you'll like it." Joo Dee says and walks off, leaving a defeated Sokka and an unimpressed me.

"Ugh!" Sokka exclaims and marches over to her. "Maybe you missed what I said, we need to talk to the earth king about the war, it's important." Sokka says to her.

"You're in Ba Sing Se now, everyone is safe here." Joo Dee smiles.

We all look at her with slightly confused and amused faces.

"This is the lower ring." Joo Dee explains as we pass by a rough looking part of Ba Sing Se.

"What's that wall for?" Katara asks, motioning to the wall that divides the middle and lower ring.

"Oh Ba Sing Se has many walls. There are the ones outside protecting us, and the ones inside that help maintain order." Joo Dee explains. "This is where our newest arrivals live, as well as our craftsmen and artistmen, people who work with their hands. It's so quaint and lively." She says in an unnecessary happy voice.
