Willow's p.o.v.
After the picnic, Splendy and I played at he park for a bit longer before he took me into town to look at a few shops. Eventually we came across a toy store and we went inside to look around. There were multiple shelves full of different dolls and toys and I noticed Splendy seemed a little wary of all the toys.
"What's wrong daddy?" I asked looking up at him and I noticed the concerned look on his face yet he also seemed slightly disgusted by the toys. It was only then that I noticed each doll on the shelves seemed to be staring at us.
"Something isn't right here. We should go." He said and I opened my mouth to agree with him only to be interrupted by a playful voice. Despite how it sounded I could sense the unstable and obsessive tone to it.
"Don't you want to make a new friend before you go?" It asked and I looked around trying to find the source of the voice.
"I promise we'll be the best of friends just give it a chance. We'll have lots of fun and play together all day!" The voice exclaimed and I stayed close to Splendy as I looked around until I made eye contact with a pair of glowing yellow eyes within a doorway on the far wall of the store.
"That's enough Jason. Willow is off limits." Splendy stated and I tilted my head confused until a tall man stepped out of the doorway. He had long dark red hair and glowing yellow eyes paired with sharp teeth and pale skin. He wore a tan waistcoat with a lighter undershirt and black pants and boots. On his shoulder was a black wind up mouse with bright red eyes and I backed into Splendy slightly frightened by the man in front of me.
"Ah Splendorman I didn't recognize you in your human form. Who might this little tot be? She'd make a lovely little doll." Jason said grinning as he stared at me and I hid behind Splendy looking up at him to confirm that he had returned to his Slender form.
"This is my daughter Willow and I will not allow her to become one of your victims. We will be leaving immediately." Splendy answered coldly and started ushering me towards the door. We were stopped by a row of dolls standing in front of us blocking the door.
"At least let her choose a toy. From the looks of those rabbits I'd say she'd make the perfect friend for one of my dolls no strings attached I promise." Jason said motioning towards the shelves of dolls and I tugged on Splendy's sleeve.
"Let's just choose one and go daddy." I suggested and he sighed before nodding and I stepped away from him keeping a close eye on Jason who just watched me intently with that same terrifying grin. Eventually I managed to find a doll I liked and picked it up smiling a little. Of course it was another rabbit but I didn't mind since rabbits are my favorite animal.
I squeaked when Jason spoke behind me and turned to come face to face with him.
"I see you've picked little Vivi. I'm sure she'll make a great companion all I ask is you take good care of her and take her with you wherever you go so she doesn't get lonely." He said and I saw his eyes flash to a glowing green color and I nodded frightened as I held the rabbit close to me.
"Promise?"
"I-I promise" I squeaked and scurried over to Splendy quickly who frowned at Jason as he kept me close to him.
"We did what you asked now let us leave." Splendy demanded and Jason bowed.
"But of course. Have a wonderful day you too and I hope you enjoy your new friend Willow, I hope to see you again soon." He said and I followed Splendy out the door after he returned to his human form and we quickly made our way away from the toy store and he looked at the rabbit in my arms concerned.
"Daddy who was that man?" I asked looking up at him and he sighed.
"That was Jason the Toymaker. He's one of us but probably the most unstable of us all. He's a possessive man that force kids to be his friend forever but eventually their attention isn't enough and he turns the children into dolls."
"He's not going to do that to me is he daddy?" I asked worried and he crouched down to my level.
"I'd never let him hurt you Willow. I want you to be very careful around that rabbit. Jason isn't known for keeping his word on things so I can only assume that that's a very special rabbit." He said scowling at the rabbit in my arms and I nodded understanding.
"Okay daddy. I promise I'll be careful. Can we go get some ice cream?" I asked and he smiled nodding.
"Of course we can sweetheart. We gotta be home before sundown okay."
"Okay daddy!"
