I woke up the next morning but found I wasn't in my bed. Instead I was in Splendy's arms in his bed. I wasn't going to complain though, instead I found it quite nice. I felt safe and protected. Splendy was still asleep so I tried to wiggle out of his arms but that proved to be impossible since his grip on me tightened. Sighing, I gave up and curled up closer to him letting his warmth surround me.
A few minutes later I was just about to fall back asleep when Splendy woke up and smiled at me.
"Good morning Willow! Did you sleep well?" He asked and I nodded little upset that he woke me back up.
"That's great! Let's go eat breakfast and then we can go outside." He suggested and I nodded. I got up and went to my bedroom looking through the clothes before finding a dress I liked and getting changed.

Once i finished I noticed that a lot of the clothes were too small so I thought about asking Splendy if it was okay to go find some new ones later. Shrugging, I went downstairs into the kitchen to find Splendy making pancakes and he smiled seeing me come in.
"Well don't you just look adorable!" He cooed and I blushed smiling at him. I guess I forgot to mention I haven't been wearing my mask around Splendy anymore since I felt safe around him. Once we finished eating and cleaning up the dishes Splendy picked me up and placed me on his shoulders as we went outside.
I smiled and giggled taking his hat which he laughed and tickled me with his tendrils. Eventually we stopped in the same flower field Splendy found me and he set me down while I ran off to find some flowers. I started to chase a blue butterfly and didn't even realize the sun was setting until Splendy picked me up and hugged me.
"I gotcha and I'm never letting go!" He cried while rolling on the ground and I giggled.
"Splendy stop haha!"
He chuckled and stopped but held me close. I noticed his usual happy and playful aura had disappeared and was replaced with a more serious one and I looked at him worried.
"My dear child what haven't you been telling me?" He suddenly asked and I tensed scared.
"Wh-what do you mean Splendy? I've told you everything-"
"My brother wouldn't have gone after you like that if he didn't see you as a threat. So I'll ask again. What are you hiding from me? What abilities was he talking about?"
I sighed knowing there was no hiding the truth from him any longer. I smiled and laughed a little.
"Ya know I used to be normal. Normal life, normal family, normal everything...until Lillian went missing. When Lillian disappeared everything changed. Mom started searching everywhere for her and was barely home which left me home alone with dad. My sister's disappearance was too much for him and he started drinking. I was neglected and abused but one night my head started to hurt. It felt like someone was trying to crack my skull open..."
