The Governess ✔️ - Jorge & Martina *Book 1*

Chapter 1 ~ Jorge:

I woke up to my alarm clock beeping at 6:00 am, I had to get to the office for a meeting with some business events going on and the new governess was supposed to arrive today to look after the boys where I am struggling after their mom passed away last July, which was a tough year for me and the boys where I have been taking a lot of time off work to look after them even though I own my business, it's hard to attend meetings and do paperwork when you have two little boys to take care of.

Although my business partner and Best friend Ruggero and his wife have been taking care of them as well to take some stress off me, they suggested I start looking for help with a governess agency, which is a good idea, but the hours of them working is hard where I come home late when the boys are in bed I don't get to see them say goodnight because I'm always in work till late to catch up meeting and paperwork, so maybe having somebody here will be good for them even if it isn't me.

As I got up, I went downstairs to start breakfast. The doorbell rang as I answered it and I saw a girl standing there.

Martina: Uh... Mr. Blanco?

Jorge: Yes?

Martina: I'm assigned from the governess agency.

Jorge: Yeah, come on in, the boys will be down soon.

Martina: Uh, I was told that you will need my service through school hours and after school hours.

Jorge: Yeah, where I own a billionaire business and it's getting harder to be able to work with the boys being taken care of since their mom passed away.

Martina: Has there been anyone here since their mom passed away?

Jorge: No, it's just been the boys and I, well my best friend and his wife help me out occasionally, but it's come to an end where I can't keep depending on them and relying on myself, but don't worry you will get paid a fair share while you are here, there aren't many rules, just when it's school night then the boys go to bed around 9:00 pm.

Martina: Please, Mr. Blanco, I understand it's hard bringing children up on your own. I know what it's like.

We could hear the kids running down the stairs, as I stood up off the arm of the sofa and watched my boys coming down the stairs excited to see him.

Jorge: Boys, calm down, I would like you to meet your new Governess this is...uh...

Martina: I'm Martina Stoessel but you may call me Tini.

Jorge: Welcome Martina, now you have till 8:00 am to eat and sort yourselves out ready for school, where daddy must go to work.

Martina: Well, aren't you two so handsome? you must take it from your dad.

Jorge: Martina, this is Ethan, and this is Joshua, although Ethan is the cheeky one and Joshua is the big-headed one.

Joshua: Dad!! *Slaps his dad's arm playfully*

Jorge: *Laughs* Only joking, Joshua, he's a bit of a know-it-all.

Martina: Oh, well you must get it from your mom or dad.

Jorge: Most certainly from his mom.

Martina: Well, Ethan and Joshua, why don't we get you some breakfast before Daddy goes to work?

The boys ran to the kitchen while Martina and I followed them.

Martina: Do you need any documents from me?

Jorge: Just your resumé that is all and contact details so I can contact you if I'm going to be late home or anything.

Martina: Sure, do you need me to move in or am I okay to go home and come back in the morning?

Jorge: Well, it is up to you, if you think it's easy for you to move in or if you think it's easier for you to come back each morning then it is up to you, do what's best for you.

Martina: It is just uh...

Jorge: Yeah?

Martina: I have a little girl at home, and I need to be with her.

Jorge: That is fine if you move in, we have a room with a cot and a bed if you want to you can stay in there, then you'll be with her.

Martina: Oh, thank you, I shall take the boys to school and go pick my stuff up, but just be warned I know I will have my little girl to look after but your boys will be a priority I promise.

Jorge: Martina, it is fine we can look after your little girl as well.

As the boys finished their breakfast, I had to get to work, I kissed my boy's foreheads while eating some toast and grabbed my suit jacket, before leaving.

Jorge: Right, you two behave for Martina and no running off like you do when you're with me.

Ethan: Okay, daddy.

Joshua: We'll be good for Miss, Martina.

Jorge: My office number is on my desk in the other room if you need anything my receptionist will probably answer but just say who you are and she will transfer the call to me, right I'm going to get off to work, oh Joshua doesn't go to school he goes to preschool it's near the park, but Ethan goes to primary on the main road.

Martina: I'm sure they will tell me the way, have a good day at work, boys say goodbye to your dad.

Ethan: Bye, Daddy.

Joshua: Bye, Daddy.

After I welcomed the new governess and introduced her to Ethan and Joshua when I left the house, I walked into my office block where I saw Ruggero standing there looking at some paperwork or pretending to be busy while he was waiting for me.

Ruggero: Ah, Jorge, just the person.

Jorge: Ruggero, what a surprise, look you can forget the act I already know your just pretending to work but really you are just waiting for information.

Ruggero: Act? What Information?

Jorge: If I did what you said hire a governess.

Ruggero: Well, did you?

Jorge: *Walks to his office* I might have, Ruggero.

Candelaria: *Gives him messages* I would just tell him, Jorge he's not going to give up until you do.

Jorge: Okay, I hired a governess happy now?

Ruggero: Is she hot? Is she single? Is she great with kids and again is she hot?

Jorge: Ruggero, she is just a governess to my kids that is it, besides, I can't settle down again not with Ethan and Joshua not yet anyway they still missing their mom.

Candelaria: I know, but you must move on sooner or later Jorge, where those kids need stability right now.

Jorge: What? And do you think me getting married again is going to give them that stability?

Ruggero: Yes, because they will have someone else other than you in the house.

Jorge: No, not right now, besides this discussion of my love life is off the table, lets get back to work, shall we? As I have a meeting 10 minutes.

Ruggero: Am I coming into the meeting with you?

Jorge: Uh, you could do, yes to take notes for me.

Jorge and Ruggero went to the meeting and then carried on working until home time, while Martina was getting her things.
