I looked down at the black word written on my wrist: "What?"

I'm never going to realize who my soulmate is with just a simple word like "what".

"Y/n!" My mother squealed as she ran into my room "What does it say?!"

"What" I simply said

"I said-"

"No it literally says what" I showed her the black letters that were permanently etched onto my skin.

"Oh" She sighed "Well don't be sad! Your soulmate will know who you are! You must say something to them that isn't so- basic"

"I guess you're right" I looked at my alarm clock

"Well you should get to bed" My mother kissed my head "Happy 16th birthday baby"

I quickly pulled on my uniform and rushed down the stairs.

"Why are you rushing around?!" My mom shouted from the kitchen

"Slept in late!" I shouted as I pulled my shoes on "Have to go! Love you!"

"Love you too!" My mom shouted as I shut the door behind me

I sat down on a bench outside of school as I stuffed my face with my lunch.

"Happy birthday!" My red headed cousin rushed up to me

"Thank you Hinata" I spoke once I swallowed my food

"What does your wrist say?" He asked

"What"

"I said-"

"It says what" I showed him my wrist "My mom said the same exact thing"

"Oh.." Hinata's face dropped "Well that's... very simple."

"I know." I chuckled.

"Well you should come to my practice after school today!" Hinata's eyes lit up "I'll even get you ice cream after!"

"Sure" I smiled "My mom isn't going to be home tonight anyway, she has to work late"

"Well it's perfect then!"

"Come on! Come on!" The ball of sunshine dragged me down the hall towards the gym doors

"I'm coming!" I giggled as he began to jump

Hinata let go of my hand and began to take off his shoes. He quickly slipped on his volleyball shoes- it all happened in a matter of seconds.

"C'mon!" Hinata jumped up.

He grabbed ahold of my hand again and threw open the doors.

"Hey! Guys look! My cousin! She's 16 today!" Hinata smiled brightly.

A bunch of tall guys stopped what they were doing and turned to us.

"You're related to him?" A raven haired boy's eyes widened. "I feel so bad.."

"Hey! I'm not that bad!" Hinata shouted at the raven kid.

"Oh yes you are!" The tall boy snickered.

I heard the sound of the door creaking open, I turned my head towards the door to see a tall boy with blonde hair. I quickly felt my stomach do back flips as I looked at him.

"Wow.."

"What?" The boy looked

"Huh? I said that out loud- oh god I am so sorry!" I quickly bowed down

"Tsuki... did she.."

"You- you don't have to do that." The blonde haired boy looked down at me.

I slowly stood up straight and brushed a stand of hair behind my ear. "I'm sorry" I mumbled embarrassingly

"Let me see your wrist" The boy told me

"Huh?" I asked

The blonde boy softly grabbed my hand and turned it over to see my wrist. The boy's eyes shot open and so did the green haired boy beside him.

"What's happening?" Hinata asked behind me.

"I don't know" A voice spoke from behind me.

The boy looked into my eyes and smirked.

"Holy shit, my soulmate is hot." The boy chuckled.

"I- What?!" I tugged my hand away "I- I d- what?"

"My cousin found her soulmate!" Hinata yelped in my ear.

"Holy shit" I mumbled "I think I'm gonna pass out"

"Are you ok?" The green haired boy asked me.

"I- I uh yup" I muttered as I starred up at the blonde boy.

"Kei" The boy tilted his head to the side "And yours?"

"Y/n" It came out as a whisper

"This is so exciting!" I could hear Hinata jump up and down

"Shut up!"

"Ow! Kageyama stop with the iron-claw!" Hinata yelped

The boy pressed his hand on my cheek and bent down so his face right next to my left ear.

"Nice ass by the way" He whispered and walked past me

My eyes went wide and I froze in place

"Y/n you ok?" Hinata walked in front of me "Are you feeling well? Your face is red!"

"Oh she's ok" Kei called out to Hinata from the other side of the gym "I just told her she has a nice ass"

"Hey that's my cousin you're talking about!" Hinata yelled

"Yeah and she's my soulmate who happens to have a nice ass"

"Haha- yeah I better get going-" I spun around and waved at everyone

"I thought you were gonna watch me" Hinata frowned

"uh- my mom she uh- needs help" I made up an excuse

"You said your mom was working late" Hinata furrowed his eye brows

"Right! Yes I did say that... what I meant was my dad- he needs help"

"Y/n... I thought your dad went to get milk and-"

"Well Hinata it took him a long time to get the milk!" I shouted as I ran towards the door "Bye!"

"I want milk..."

"You always want milk Kageyama"
