Part 18 A Day Of Fun

(YN) POV
Time 3:30 PM

Today is the day of the barbecue I am really excited. Yesterday Craig, Jordan and I all went to the nearest store to pick up the ingredients. We were all preparing the food. we were joking and laughing having a good time. Several of the cooking staff were helping us as well. We have set up several large grills outside along with tables and a dance floor so that everyone can enjoy the outside air.

I've got my favorite pair of cowboy boots along with blue jeans a pearl snap black dress shirt and my favorite Stetson cowboy hat.

We were listening to some country music while we were seasoning a few racks of ribs swapping stories of missions we've been on when Harry walked in the kitchen.

Harry "good afternoon gentlemen."

(YN) "hey boss to what do we owe the pleasure."

Harry "I came to offer my assistance that is if you want it."

(YN) "the more the merrier. If you want you can start by mixing my homemade bbq sauce I've written down the recipe." He nodded and started to make the sauce.

An hour goes by we we're almost done with the preparation. Harry oddly enough was talking and joking with us which none of us expected him to be like this.

We've finally finished the prep we started to take all the food out. I went behind one of the massive grill and start with cooking.

Time skip 2 hours

Most of the Operators are all sitting outside on the tables we had set up earlier in the day. most were sitting around talking and joking around with the others. Some were playing horseshoes and corn hole.

I was finally finishing the last steaks that needed to be cooked when Meghan and some of the girls walked up.

Meghan "well hey there cowboy where's the rodeo." She said laughing.

(YN) "I don't know let me jump on my horse and I'll tell you." I say giving her a smirk. "How do you like your steak?"

Meghan "medium."

(YN) "oh thank god."

She looks at me with a confused look.

Meghan "what?"

(YN) "I thought you would be one of those people who like their steak bleeding."

Meghan "eew gross I like my food cooked."

She looks at the massive amount and variety of food. There was steak, ribs, hamburgers, bacon wrapped jalapeños, baked beans, potato salad, and grilled potatoes.

Meghan "you cooked all of this. It looks amazing."

Monica "ja and the smell it's making my mouth water."

(YN) "well I had much help but thank you."

Eliza "so how much longer until it's all done?"

(YN) "should be about another ten minutes I am still waiting on a few of these steaks."

After the last of the food is done Harry gets everyone's attention.

Harry "good evening everyone."

All "good evening"

Harry "so before we all go and grab our food I wanted to say a few things. First I want to thank (YN) for all of the amazing food that he has prepared for us tonight. And lastly thank you all for everything that you all do without you countless lives would have been Lost. We have been fighting a long time and we will continue to fight until the last white mask has been put 6 feet under. So as a way to thank you all for all the things you have done please enjoy this night we have a full bar that all of you have access to along with the dance floor and several games so please enjoy yourselves. Let's eat."
