After I finished putting the cast on Verah's wrist, Mikey showed her around while the three of us talked in my lab. I was still upset with my brothers for reacting the way they did when they saw Verah awake. I wasn't going to yell at them about it since they'd already talked with Sensei, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to give them a hard time about it.

"Look, Don, we said we're sorry." Leo said as I cleaned up the medical supplies.

"I know, and it's not like you still needlessly scared her when she did nothing wrong, even after she helped us." I said.

"How far are you going to take this, man?" Raph asked.

I just shrugged as I walked past them and went to the kitchen. Mikey was making something that didn't look edible and Verah looked at me with a worried face. I got the message and turned to my little brother.

"Mikey, what are you making?"

"You'll see!"

"He put in jalapeños, tuna, and I think toothpaste into that pot." Verah whispered to me. "Is he okay in the head?"

"We've all been wondering that for years." I said honestly, causing her to laugh a bit.

"What's so funny?" Mikey asked.

"Nothing." I chuckled.

"Hey, we should probably get ready to head out so we can get Verah's stuff from Murakami's." Leo said, walking up with Raph.

"Wait, you know Murakami?!" Mikey was in Verah's face in an instant, startling Verah. "Really?! That's awesome!! How did you meet him?! Did you save him, too?! How long have you known him-"

"Mikey, you were there when we talked to him about her." I said, facepalming.

"Oh, yeah! Never mind!"

"Idiot..." Raph muttered.

"Wait, shouldn't I come with so that-"

"It's not safe for you right now, so it's probably best if you stay here." Leo said. "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be able to carry everything."

"It's not like you'll have much to carry..." she muttered to herself then looked up at me. "Just be sure to let Murakami-San know that I'm okay. He tends to worry about me."

"We will." I reassured her.

"Thank you. I guess I'll see you guys when you get back then."

"Wait!" Mikey said, rushing back to the pot. "Lemme finish cooking this for Verah-"

"I'm not hungry, I already ate. My mutation helps with my hunger, so I'm good to go." Verah said rather quickly, backing away from Mikey's concoction. That was obviously a lie, but Mikey seemed to buy it.

"You don't know what you're missing!" Mikey called.

"Missing food poisoning?" she mumbled, causing me and Raph to laugh.

"What is so funny?!" Mikey asked with an exasperated look on his face, making us laugh harder. "Don't leave me out of the loop, here!!"

"Never mind, little brother." Raph said, still laughing. "Let's just go before it gets too late. Maybe Murakami will make some pizza gyoza while we're there-"

"You guys like pizza gyoza, too!!" Verah said with a sudden burst of energy. "I thought I was the only one who liked it!!"

"YES!!" Mikey shouted, pumping a fist into the air. "I LOVE THIS GIRL!!! CAN SHE STAY FOREVER?!"

"Dude, if you guys get some, please bring some for me!!"

"I thought you said you weren't hungry?"

"No one who has had pizza gyoza can ever not be hungry for pizza gyoza." she responded in a professional tone as if she were a professor giving a speech. "That's just a fact, it's the best thing aside from regular pizza."

"Dudes she's like a human girl version of us!!!"

"I'm just gonna ignore that..."

"Good choice." Raph said, patting her shoulder.

"Alright, then let's head out." Leo said.

"If you want I can show you the room you can stay in-"

"Already done, bro." Mikey said. "Showed her during the tour. It's the one next to Raph's and Leo's, right?"

"Yes, Mikey, that's the one." I rolled my eyes.

"I'll just wait out here till you guys get back." Verah said.

"Okay, then.
