Snakes Have Cat-Fights Too

It was just starting to get dark out when I finally approached Mr. Murakami's block, and I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. I slowed down as I crept into an alley and waited for my stalker to reveal themselves. I heard scales slowly sliding across the pavement behind me and I whipped around as I half-phased, hissing with fangs bared as I rose higher into the air. There was a white scaled snake mutant like me, but her arms and hands were also snakes. Her neon green eyes were watching me closely as she slid towards me, hissing back at me.

"Back off..." I hissed, my tail curling around me defensively. "I don't wanna fight, but I will if I have to."

She hissed at me again as if she was trying to say something, then took off to the rooftops. Curious, I followed her. I raced up to the roof and saw that she was now fighting four other mutants, turtle mutants to be exact. I heard them calling out to her and heard that her name was Karai. I was about to leave since I thought they were helping her, but then I heard her cry out in pain and I reacted on instinct. I lunged up and got in between them. I was nearly twice the size of Karai and probably much stronger and faster, so let's just say that these kids were scared and shocked to see me.

"What the heck is that thing?!" the one in orange asked in fright.

"My guess is it's another snake mutant, Mikey." the one in purple answered with an annoyed tone.

"No duh, genius!" the one in red said angrily.

"Guys!" the one in blue snapped. "Knock it off and focus on taking it down!"

I hissed at that, barring my large fangs as I huddled closer to Karai defensively. She got up and hissed at everyone, including me, and then her tail swung at me. Before I could move out of the way, her tail hit my stomach and threw me back into the turtles and then she bolted. I blinked a few times at her response for my help.

"Well, that was rude..." I hissed.

"Get off of us!!"

"Huh?" I looked down to see that my long tail was draped over the four of them. I rolled my eyes with a sigh and moved off just as a bunch of ninjas dressed in black surrounded us. My scales bristled as I curled my tail around myself in a defensive manner.

"Aw, great." the red one grumbled.

"We have to take them down before they go after Karai." the blue one ordered.

Looks like these guys really were trying to help her. Guess I'll help them out.

I rose to my full height and hissed at the ninjas, then swung my tail at them. The motion startled the turtles and the ninjas readied their weapons. I smirked as I turned to the turtles.

"Ya gonna stand there admiring me or ya gonna move your butts and help?"

They stood there for a moment and blinked in shock. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the ninjas. This was going to be fun with or without their help.

"Suit yourselves."

I lunged and attacked the ninjas, being joined by the turtles shortly after. I saw them all literally destroying them and realized that they were just robots. I grinned and completely brought out my fangs, my venom dripping a bit. Now I wasn't forced to hold back, I could go all out.

As soon as one of them got too close, I grabbed it and ripped its head off with my jaws. I grabbed another and wrapped around it, crushing it instantly before throwing it into a bunch that were surrounding the one in orange. He smiled and waved in gratitude. I smirked back and nodded to him before turning back to the fight. That was when I felt something inject into my neck.

I let out a groan as I felt myself go back into my normal human form. I saw one of the ninja bots running at me and I ducked out of the way, but the sword still hit my leg. I screamed out in pain before the ninja bot grabbed my wrist to drag me off, and I felt like it might break my wrist. Suddenly, a bow staff went straight through the head of the robot and it released me. I went to get up, but whatever was injected into me was starting to make me tired. The last thing I saw was a blur of purple and green.
