「 𝙻𝚎𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚘 𝚡 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚝𝚜 」

♡ 𝙷𝚘𝚠 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚖𝚎𝚝 ♡

You stood by a wall after the strange man gave you a badge and told you to wait there. You were a bit excited since you were about to take the Hunter exam. Although you've never taken it before, you'd hoped that you would be one of the few people to pass their first time since you were so confident in your abilities. Just when you got into your thoughts a short and tubby man walked up to you, holding a drink. He introduced himself as Tonpa he seemed strangely friendly, and offered you the drink after telling you a bit about himself.

Over across the room, the three friends; Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio were watching as the man tried to give you the canned soda. "You think we should help him?" Gon asked, looking back at his friends. "I think we should." Kurapika said, nodding his head as he began to walk over to you. Leorio silently agreed as he and Gon followed. 

"Hey, leave him alone." Leorio said in an annoyed voice as he saw tonpa still trying to convince you to drink the pop. "Huh?-" Tonpa turned around to see the three boys as he rolled his eyes. "Piss off, I can talk to whoever I want." Gon walked over at you and pointed at the drink in his hands. "Hey, that drink isn't good. He offered us to drink it and we found out it was expired. Tonpa got really mad. You could tell he wanted to say something, but he just walked away, mumbling something under his breath. 

You turned to face the boys. "Thanks, that guy seemed really suspicious." You thanked them. "No problem." The blonde one smiled. The tallest out of the three stepped up to you and held out his hand. "Anyways, the names Leorio. And this is Kurapika and Gon." You shook his hand and greeted him and the others, while also introducing yourself. "(Y/n)," Leorio repeated your name, as if he was testing it out. "That's a pretty nice name." He said, beaming with a light blush of his face. You admired his features. Although he seemed kinda old, he was extremely handsome, and but a slight bush on your face as well. 

*Time skip*

You and your new friends were running with all the others to the exam area. After they scared off Tonpa the four of you began talked and agreed to sick together. You were running with Leorio, who you seemed to get along with the most. He kept on complaining how hot it was getting, and right before you were about to make fun of him for it you looked over and saw him taking off his suit jacket and shirt. You felt your face heat up and quickly looked away before you embarrassed yourself. He recommended that you do the same if you started to get hot, which you were so you took of your shirt, but unlike someone, you actually had a tank top underneath your shirt. 

Gon and one of the other contestants sped past the two of you. Gons new friend yelled out some insult at Leorio, ending it with 'old man' "Hey! Don't call me that! I'm only a teenager just like the rest of you!" You starred at him as the two ran off. "Leorio, if you don't mind me asking; how old are you?" He looked back at you. "I'm only nineteen. Why, do I not look like it?" You were surprised since he was actually being serious. "No, you look like it, I was just wondering." You said, looking forward. He wasn't that much older than you, which explain why he was in such good shape and why he didn't seem too mature, but why did he dress like he was in his thirties? 

The rest of the exam was pretty challenging, and a bunch of people were already gone. You were now in a stage where you had to get to the bottom of a tower, working along with Leorio, Kurapika, Gon, and his new friend; Killua. In this stage, you all had to fight some of the prisoners that were part of the exam and get more points than them. Each of you had already fought your opponents except for Killua and Leorio, but he was about to go up next. Leorio confidently agreed to a game of gambling with his opponent. 

All of you were confident in him winning, until his prisoner took off her cloak, revealing her to be an attractive woman. Leorio didn't even try to hide his attraction to her and was immediately admiring her. This made you extremely uncomfortable and...jealous? It wasn't until Leorio proved he lost the bet of her being a man for you to get genuinely get upset. You walked back a bit and leaned against the wall. You didn't want to look at it anymore. 

Eventually, Leorio lost the bet, making it tied until Killua fought the last prisoner and won without a sweat, but you all had to stay in a room for over 50 hours thanks to all the time Leorio lost for being a simp. Once you all got in the room you couldn't stand to look at Leorio. Not just because he'd lost so much time for us but because you were jealous. You'd finally admitted to yourself that you had feelings for him and that you were jealous.

"Are you okay?" Kurapika asked, sitting next to you on the couch. You tensed up and glanced the other direction, mumbling that you were fine. "If you're mad at Leorio for getting us here, try to remember that he also made it clear that the guy I was fighting was faking being passed out." He said, trying to cheer you up. "I'm not mad at him for that." You said, still not making eye contact. Kurapika got closer to you and lowered his voice so the others wouldn't hear. "Or is it because of how he treated his opponents gamble?" You darted your head over at him in shock. "How did you know-!?" "It was obvious since you first met that you liked each other more than just friends would, and you walked away when Leorio proved that she wasn't a man." You were surprised at how right he was. "So what if I do like him like that? He clearly likes women." You crossed your arms and looked away again. Kurapika just sighed and walked away at your ignorance. 

I guess they'll have to realize their feelings towards each other them selves.
