Was I seeing things? This didn't feel right. Lucian must have seen it to because he stepped up. As if he was protecting me. But from what? My parents? The people standing before me looked like my parents. They talked like my parents. But we're they really? How could I have been so sure. My emotions were running away with me. I felt so scared and shocked. I felt alone and lonely but smothered. My mind races and my heart matched it.

"Phoenix, are you okay," Ashton asked. Dad looked at him. He seen a concern in Ashtons face.

"I-Uh-I don't," I stopped my self. Ashton came closer asking Lucian if he could steal me away for a moment. Lucian nodded. He then stepped over towards my look alike parents. Ashton led me into the hall about fifty feet. He turned to look at me. I was still in my dress and made up. But now I looked scared and worried.

"Listen, Phoenix, I didn't tell you before because I knew you wouldn't do your duty, your mom and dad, they were alive the entire time, they have been hiding away, they only faked their death-"

"Wait, you lied to me," I asked. He sighed. He rubbed his temples together.

"Yes, but I didn't want to, I care for you, so much, and I know it doesn't make things better but I am sorry," he said. I sarcastically chuckled.

"You're sorry. I have been alone for almost ten years, ten years Ashton, ten and you think I loved it, and I came to you, when you asked, and you lied to me, to my face, that's not something you do for someone you care for," I stopped he agreed.

"And I cared for you, I felt something for you, like I do with Lucian, I was confused and alone and depressed abs scared and the only one who sat his pride to the side was Lucian, because he knew! He knew that it was wrong to not be there regardless of how hard it was to feel towards me, he was there and you, were being an idiot, because you are an idiot, and those people aren't my parents," I said walking away. I left him.

I stepped back inside the office. They smiled but Lucian knew something was wrong. I had tears in my eyes and fire in my eyes. He began to get hasty and walked out the door. I didn't say a word to mom or dad. I just sat. But I could hear the other two men with my vampire like ability.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU LIED TO HER, WHAT DID YOU SAY ASH," Lucian yelled. Ashton spoke calmly.

"What do you think Lucian, I didn't say a word I never confessed my affection with her, you won't her be happy," he said. Lucian got quite. Then he spoke again.

"She's not a trophy brother, she's a person," he spoke. Brother? Wait a minute.....

"Mom, dad, how do Lucian and Ashton know each other?" I asked. They sighed. And then they kept quite. The other two began talking again.

"Yes, Brother, I know that, but we always fight and compete. Who's the better creature. After 200 years you would think we'd learned our lesson, Phoenix is a prize, and neither one of us deserve her, so you win, Lucy, I'm done competing for things," Ashton said. He began walking back to the room.

"Mom, dad how," I asked. They put their heads down and dad looked at me.

"They were once brothers on earth," he said. About that time, Lucian and Ashton walk in and hear him say that. I looked at both of them in pain and shock. Two things Ashton kept from me and one Lucian kept.

"Seriously, lies, and more lies, and Lucian I didn't expect it from you, I didn't, but you don't even care enough to tell me the truth, and mom and dad hid from me, and everyone lied, I can't deal with this," I said walking out. Ashton grabbed my arm. I turn to him and see mom and dad staring oddly at him. The sparks were there but my heart was shattered.

"No Ashton, I'm done, with both of you, make that all of you, from this moment on, don't talk to me unless I'm in class, and don't look at me unless you are calling upon me in class, I AM DONE."

"But-"

"Done."
