I was okay with waiting for him. He didn't seem to worried anyway. He said he regretted caring for me. It wasn't as if he wanted me to fix it. He'd rather live alone. Hunter and I walked to the dorm room together. We all went inside. I showed him where I slept. He hopped upon my bed. I sat down beside him. I smiled at him so big. He whimpered.

"What's wrong?"

"Nix, I wish we had met under better circumstances, I do, you have defended me, and stayed by me, and I couldn't be more appreciative than I now."

"Oh, Hunter I like having you around, I have someone I can talk to who can't say anything to anyone."

He snorted. I laughed and laid on my bed. He stayed at the end. On the foot of the bed. It was late and I was tired. And I wasn't about to stay up. If Hunter heard anything he would alert me. I'm sure he would. Or he'd attack and then alert me. And speaking of Hunter, how would we break the curse? Gregory was dead set on keeping Hunter this way. And for what? To frame him for mustering people?

The night drug on. But I finally fell asleep. It was peaceful and very comforting. It felt good to know I was protected. Ashton would have never done this for me. He would've left me alone. I didn't think there was any chance for us anymore. I didn't know what my future held, but I was okay not knowing. I had a great friend/guardian. And I was happy about that.

Hunter had been here for two weeks already and he was loving it. We spent most of our time together, talking silently and just being beside each other. He was really something. Classes had started back and he was right beside me the entire time. Lucian had been gone for quite sometime. And I was okay with that. Ashton didn't seem to mind me and Hunter being with each other all the time. He was focused on getting him back to his human self too. Which was unusually odd for Ashton. But mom and dad was working around the clock too. And Lucy and I researched. We hadn't found nothing yet. But we were hoping for something soon. I wanted Hunter to be normal again! He needed to talk to other not just me. Although I loved it, but it was lonely for his sister and his other friends.

"Hey Phoenix," I heard Brady yell. Gah!! Just what I needed. Brady. Hunter moved closer to me.

"Just asking, are you going to come to our in dorm party?"

"Wait, you're having a party here? In the school? And in a dorm room?"

"Yes Phoenix keep up, we are going to have the warlocks create a portal, make it a magic room, big with party lights, like a hangout that only we know About, everyone is coming, it's tonight you should bring Hunter too," he said walking away. This had bad idea written all over it.

"Hunter, I don't think I like this," I said. He stood tall and nodded. Wanting me to put my head on his. We have a great communication. And so I did.

"Seems that Brady wants to cause trouble, we should stay clear, just in case," he said. I agreed. With that, we walked to lunch together. Didn't seem like it should've been lunch. And it was the weekend. Friday! Luna and Lucy spotted me. Cassie and Keira did too. Sarah was talking to some of the angels. They all waved us over. After they all noticed my appearance.

"Come on," I said to Hunter. He followed me. People were being very quite. Like they were scared to talk. They knew Hunter meant business but this was out of line. This was getting to intense. They were staring like he took their lunch money. Why in the world? Did he do something? He had been with me for two weeks straight and not done anything.

"Hey, Hunter, notice anything weird," I asked getting on my knees. I put my head to his.

"Everyone seems to have a problem, but for what?"

"I am not sure, but I do know one thing, whatever Brady was planning, both of us were needed," I said. He looked around and back to me.

"All the more reason to stay clear of the party, should I ask, do we need to turn this in to Ashton?"

"Good idea, he will know what to do."

As I was about to turn around, Brady and his group of goons, stepped in front of me. He crossed his arms and grinned. Hunter stepped in front of me. He growled.

"Calm down pet, I'm not going to hurt your precious pearl, just need to talk to her," Brady said talking to Hunter. He was only protecting me.

"Fine, what," I asked. I crossed my arms. He nodded. Hunter wasn't leaving. No way.

"Look, Ever since Hunter has come around, you've barely seen any of your friends, you've been preoccupied with changing him back, and no offense to him, but he can't stick with you constantly people are talking," Brady said. He was right but I needed someone to protect me.

"I really don't care what people say, Brady, I never have, and when are you going to learn that no matter what people say I do my own thing," I said. Lucy and Luna joined me. Followed by Kiera and Cassie. Sarah trailed behind. All standing around me.

"Also, I have a clan of each kind, we can do more damage than you can imagine, so unless you want to mess with all seven of us, get out of our face, and stop bothering me about Hunter," I said. He stood there for. Few seconds looking at each member of the clan. Then at Hunter. And he nodded and backed away. The girls were amazed!

"Well, that worked, but he's planning a party tonight, I'm not sure what for, but someone needs to find out, I wanted to tell Ashton but now I think we all need to go, and together," I said. Hunter pulled my sleeve. I leaned into him.

"That's not a good idea, whatever he IS planning could be bad, you should tell Ashton."

"We have to find out first, no telling what he's doing tonight, but as long as we all go together, we will be okay, he won't cross our clan."

"Nix, for your sake I hope your right."

"Me too."
