"I'm sorry I get in deep crap for lying to you and you have lied to us all!"
"Phoenix please, I didn't want you in harms way."
"No Ashton that has nothing to do with it. You can't stand that I care for Hunter and you thought you'd just lie to me and when I found out I would be hurt and you could blame him for bringing Gregory here!"
"Wait- Ashton, You two can't be together, it's forbidden, I was reading the prophecy deeper, and it says no matter how badly they want to the vampire will never be able to have the forbidden, only another hybrid can." Lucy said. She was studying the prophecy.
"That's not why I did it," Ashton said. He sighed.
"And I don't love Phoenix, I am actually currently unavailable and off market, but I care about her. She's my best friends daughter. Practically my own kid, she needs to take responsibility for her actions."
He didn't love me? And that didn't hurt. Why didn't that hurt? Maybe it was infatuation. Maybe his attention for me, was what REALLY made me feel those things. The prophecies were in real and mostly not true. All but one. I did care fo Hunter more than he knew. But he always ran from me when things got hard.
"So, wait, who's mad at me exactly because I can't take this anymore, Hunter is always pushing me away when I do something he don't like, Ashton is constantly smothering me in fatherly weirdness and Lucy, well she hasn't done a thing actually, so who's mad at me because I'm tired of the push and pull!"
There was a silence. No one would say a word. This was what I waited for. No arguing. No coming at me. But then there was Hunter. He never argued he just walked away. It was the wolf side. They were attuned with nature. It was pretty neat.
"I am not mad, I'm sorry I overreacted with you, it's just, your father and mother said protect you and their back now and I still feel the need to treat you as a child."
"Ashton, I'm not fussing at you but, stop, I can't stand when everyone thinks I'm fragile."
Hunter looked at me and came to me. He placed his head on mine. It didn't phase Ashton. He smiled.
"I don't like that you lied, it was stupid and dangerous, but, I will not walk away because you knew what you were doing with Brady," he said. Did he just say that?
"So does that mean, we are okay,"
"As long as you promise to never go alone again."
"I promise."
I relayed everything he said. They agreed with him. Lucy didn't mind but Ashton was very protective.
After Ashton left, I sat on the couch with Lucy. We were talking about Hunter as a child. I asked if she had any paintings or pictures. She kept one. It was in her locket. It was when he was ten. They painted it of course. But he was a cute boy! And I bet he was even more sexy as a man. I wanted to see him so badly. To feel his skin, to smell him, and taste him. All of it. It made me yearn to be beside him. I was falling for him, so hard. And he didn't even know it. I wasn't going to say anything about it to him either. But when the week came and we broke the curse, I would tell him, how much he means to me. And hopefully he will feel the same.

Two months had gone by. We had all the ingredients we needed for the spell. And this would be the funnest part. Cedric had already warned me about getting in and getting out. We were okay with going as quickly as possible. I could do the cloaking spell twice in one night. If I had to.
Cedric mixed the ingredients and began chanting. He said a spell backwards. The same spell used to curse Hunter. Speaking of, he was with Lucy watching the outside for us. Gregory hadn't attempted anything yet. But something told me he would. And if Brady was still here, he would want to bust him out. They were alike. Even if they weren't blood. I had learned that Brady's mom who was Demon, got with Gregory when Brady was five. And since then, he raised him and made him his own. But Brady was a warrior in his time. And Ashton had trusted him back at the diner. Titan and his wolves were on stand by. If Gregory came, he'd most likely bring a few of his hounds.
"Okay, we need Hunters blood," Cedric said. Trey howled out to him. In seconds Hunter arrived. He was told to give his paw. Which he did. Cedric pierced it and drew blood. Just a drop is what he took. And he finished the spell. The dagger began to
Light green. Green was a sign of good luck for most. And since it was green, that was a sure sign. But I was assured I had two days to get this done. Or the spell would wear off. Since tomorrow was the day, I would spend tonight with Hunter. His last night as a permanent wolf. He could become a person. Still a hybrid but in human form."Okay, Hunter you and Phoenix go, spend time with each other, tomorrow we will lure him out with Brady, and as soon as he reaches the fountain I'll cloak her, she will take the dagger and stab him quickly," Cedric said. We nod and head out. I gave the dagger to Cedric he wrapped it in a towel and took it under his cloak.
We walked around the courtyard. The weather was just crisp. A nice seventy degree weather. I wore a green pair of shorts and a white shirt. I stopped mid way and thought of Hunter. If he would like me even if he weren't a wolf. He noticed my abrupt pause and came to me. He placed a head on mine.
"What is it Nix," he asked. He was sweet.
"Well, what happens when you're in human form, will you stay here, or head out, I'm not sure," I said.
"Nix, wherever you go, so will I."
"Even if it's to Egypt." I laughed.
"Even to Egypt, I'm with you, and I'm not leaving, you will do great!"
"Thanks, I hope so."
With that we walked. We walked all night almost. Just being together. At one point I got upon his back and walked with him. Then I had this idea. What if I got on his back, and walked with him while he was attacking Gregory. I'd have a sure chance of killing him. As long as he got me close enough to his chest.
So I told him to take me to Ashton and Lucy. And he did...wait a minute....Ashton and Lucy? They were together. But why.
"So why are you together?"
"Well....Ashton and I were researching the prophecy and in that time we hit it off, and now, we are just, together," Lucy said looking at Ashton. He smiled at her.
"So that's why you were quick to tell me we couldn't be together?"
"Well no, and yes, the prophecy is true. But yes I wanted him, and I'm sorry, I know you were confused about him and Hunter, but when I seen you look at Hunter the other day I knew, you liked him, not Ashton."
"Okay on to my reason for meeting, I want to ride on hunter's back while cloaked and Hunter can attack Gregory, and I can get close enough In Five minutes to end it."
They looked at each other all three of them. Hunter hadn't know. About my plan. He did tilt his head like he was thinking about it.
"That's no bad." Ashton said. Lucy had to agree. But it ultimately came down to Hunter. He placed his head one mine. He was soft and I would miss this.
"It's a good plan, so I say let's do it."
