chap. 22 - diamonds are a girl's bestfriend

finley's pov:
the door swings open and it's the doctor with my parents "so have you been expriencing any troubles recalling anything of basic common knowledge?" he asks and i shake my head no "i remember everything that happened during the crash what happened before the crash and i even remember when i got to LA last month I also remember my name and my friends names and my boyfriends and my family's names." i say "good we are going to do a MRI scan to see if you have any possible lasting injuries also there is someone that will like to talk to you, i believe his name was jaden hossler and he said that he wants to talk to you alone" he says and with that notion everyone gets up "you stay" i say as i point to indigo and she sits back down "what about me?" beatrix says insulted and eden nods in agreement "she'll beat his ass without hesitation i don't even have to tell her anything she will do it as he walks into the door" i say and indigo chuckles while nodding. everyone exits the room and then jaden walks in "the girls were all giving me evil glares and nevermind you are doing it too" he says nervously and i bite the inside of my cheek so i don't tell indigo to beat his ass "i would be happy if i was because i can't beat your ass but that's exactly what she's here for" i say and indigo moves the curtain to show herself "you don't love her" i say bluntly and then someone comes in "jaden the doctor told me you would be here" mads says as she barges in "oh my fucking god, you her brought to the hospital while visiting me your girlfriend in the hospital" i say and indigo cracks her knuckles "i'm his girlfriend" mads says "but is he ours is he wants me so bad" i say and indigo giggles "and we didn't even really break up and we aren't in an open a relationship so he's lying to you, because i didn't know that me being in a coma meant that we broke up.. would brooks think that indie?" i ask "no, i think he would stay at my side because it's his fault that we got into the crash in the first place and i was the one got the worst end of it" she says angerily "see that's what i think too" i say "finley.." he says "why do you always say my name like that when you feel guilty oh that's cause you're supposed to feel that way because you've been caught cheating on your girlfriend twice, once right after she was raped and the second time while she was in a coma.. shitty track record there" i say and indigo 'ooohs' in the corner of the room. "but i should've known like you literally cheated on lily with me right?" i say and jaden tries to cut me off "ooh sorry you just thought about fucking me while you were dating, or have i just been your rebound for this long because that's very depressing but i do remember you getting with mads after going on a break with me and then when i quote on quote die you go back to her so mads you're jaden's rebound for me, he doesn't really love you sweetie" i say and i bite my lip and indigo laughs "you are so hot when you are angry" indigo says and i laugh. as i look over at jaden he's looking at me then looks back at mads "ohh hossler you want to second that don't you?" indigo says in between giggles "mads i think finley was right you are the rebound because he doesn't look at you like he's ever looked at finley" indigo says and my heart physically goes 'aww' "when he looks at finley you can see his heart flutter" she says and i giggle "i told you to stay here to beat jadens ass if he got out of hand not to make me emotional fuck you" i say and she laughs "fine jaden, if you won't say anything then at least answer this simple question.. do you love her and if you do... do you love her more than you love me" i say and i gulp "because i can just the way you acted when mads came into the room was different like you didn't want her to see you being comfortable with me" i say and i bite my lip "when she came in the room, you sat up more straight and you stopped talking" i say "what am i even doing this for finley?" he says "because you don't love her so stop lying with your words" i say. i hit the get help button on the side of my bed then a nurse rushes into the room. "yes if everything alright?" the nurse asks as she rushes to my side "um can you please make sure this girl over here leaves the premises because she is making me very uncomfortable" i say and the nurse nods and grabs mads arm "i can walk by myself thank you very much" mads says as she snatched her arm away "finally the basic bitch is gone and i can finally talk to you without her" i say and indigo laughs "and indie you can go too, i think i won't need you to beat his ass" i say and she nods "i'll pick you up food" she says and i excitedly nod. "jaden i'm not ready for what we had to become my past life, i love i've always loved you" i say and jaden moves the chair closer to me "i'm sorry finley" he says "i should've been here" he says as he grabs my hand and my first instinct is to slap it but intertwine my fingers with his. "i missed you" he says as he kisses my hand "i missed you" i say as i kiss his hand "i'll kiss your hand more" i say as i repeatedly kiss his hand "about kiss my mouth" he says as he puts his hand on my cheek and i put my arms around his neck and we kiss. "finally these hoes are back hooray!" beatrix says sarcastically "and i move to let her lay next to me and cuddle "hell no fuck you, did this mean nothing to you" she says as she gives me the promise ring that we both had and i gave her one before she moved. "what the fuck, i'll beat your ass right now come here" i say and she walks towards me and i put my hand around her next and kiss her. "okay what the fuck" jaden says and he sighs and beatrix and i giggle. "umm i want to leave this place i hate feeling like i'm an animal in a zoo" i say and everyone nods, i press the help button again to call in the nurse and one comes in the room. "hello dear, what's wrong do you need anything?" she asks "i was wondering when i will be able to have the MRI scan done because i feel fine" i say confidently "you are supposed to have a scan at 3:30 so about at least 3 more hours here" she says as she looks at her watch and she shows me and it's 1:30 already and i nod. she walks out and every starts to talk again. after like 10 minutes indigo brings me food and i eat my portillos. "thanks babe" i say and she nods while taking a bite out of her food. i play with jaden's hair as i slowly eat my food and he lays his head on my chest. "i love you" i whisper in his ear and he puts his hands together in a heart.
third person pov: time skip - 6 months
"i don't wanna be alone" finley admits to her sister bailey as she starts to pack up the furniture and decorations around their apartment as jaden gets busier with his music and he has been spending way less time with finley. this has been seriously ruining their relationship but little does she know that jaden has planned a surprise for her. he is driving to their apartment as she is busy venting to her sister about how she misses her boyfriend. seconds after she hears a knock at the door, and she goes to open the door and jaden is there holding a bouquet of roses and a bar of chocolate then a huge teddy bear is sitting on the floor laying on his leg. she grabs the huge teddy bear and struggles to hold it above her head, once she lays it on the couch she gives jaden a kiss then takes the flowers from his hand and she puts them on the counter and he wraps his arms around her and she jumps up and wraps her legs around his torso and they just stay in that position for awhile just being engulfed in each other's love. after he starts to get uncomfortable, she notices and drops her legs. "i missed you love" he whispers in her ear as he kisses her cheek "i missed you too" she says as she puts her hand in his hair "go get dressed, i wanna take you somewhere" he says and she quickly nods and walks to the bedroom where bailey is busy scrolling on her phone laying on their bed. "help me pick something to wear and ask jaden what we're doing but pretend i didn't ask you to say" she says and she slyly smiles and bailey groans and gets out off their comfy bed to walk down the stairs into the living room and jaden is sitting there filming a tiktok or something so she comes from behind him and sits on the couch. "what should finley wear to your date?" bailey asks bluntly since she was very tired because she has been helping finley pack everything up. basically she did all the work while finley ranted to her. since jaden has known finley's family for awhile and especially bailey since she moved to LA like 3 months ago she's been over to visit a lot and he knows when she is acting really dry that she is super tired so if you test her she will break you in half. "um i wanted to get some coffee then break into a park after dawn and before we would go to the park we would go to the store and get all of our favorite snacks and food and bring it the park to have a picnic and after the picnic we go play on the playground equipment and then fall asleep while looking at the stars or we get caught and run away from security while laughing and giggling in our very fancy attire.. so tell her to wear something fancy i guess" he says and she nods and heads back up the huge flight of stairs and goes back into their bedroom and snuggles herself in the covers. "what should i wear?" finley asks and then as she turns around she sees bailey sleeping in her bed she quietly giggles then tries to be quiet while she screams to jaden below in the living room "bailey fell asleep what should i wear?" she yells and he laughs "something a bit fancy also bring your favorite blanket" he says and she nods and walks back into the room and goes straight towards the closet to find the prefect dress for this date. she decides to go with the newest dress she had added to her closet and that was the black strawberry dress, she had wanted one for months and was finally able to get one.
the dress:

she decided to pair it with some basic black heels but she also brought just a pair of converse in case she got comfortable. she grabbed her favorite blanket then her and jaden got into an uber and headed to their favorite coffee place after they got their coffees they went to go snacks for the picnic and since they had tons of time until dawn. they went shopping for each other for a video on her youtube channel. she had started to get into youtube and she was a mix of bryce and niki and gabi but also she loved to post gaming videos. after that they went to the beach and they walked around everyone looked at them but they didn't care. they looked like fancy people washed up on the shore of the beach, she was honestly thinking of going swimming in her dress. the only reason she didn't is because it's the fucking strawberry dress and it would be a complete disgrace to go swimming in it. a few hours later and it was finally dark go they broke into an apparently very exclusive park because they were security guards everywhere and they had to jump a fence to get into the park. they found a hidden spot that you were able to see the stars but you wouldn't be caught by the security and they started to get out their snacks and dinner and slowly eat it as they watched the stars. bailey was interested in astronomy so she told finley about and she was pointing things out to jaden. when they were almost done eating, he grabbed a box of leftovers and when he opened there was a small box inside so he took it out and got on one knee and proposed to her but right as he tried to propose a security guard flashed his flashlight at them and they quickly grabbed everything and ran back to the coffee shop that they started their day with. he ordered an uber but as they waited, they were able to make sure that they didn't lose the ring or drop it at the park then jaden slides the ring on my finger. "wait i didn't even say yes yet" she says..

hey guys that's the end of sitting on the sidelines i hoped you enjoyed now i'm going to go sleep for awhile until rae starts stream at 5 AM! anyways drink water and have a little snackie snack ! i love you guys <3
