Chaeyoung

One term down with only one week left. Now all Chaeyoung had to get through was Saturday's party. She arrived at the house and pulled her jacket tightly around her shoulders. The loud music she could faintly hear from the dark house and the sound of a splashing pool reminded her of the first party she went to in Korea, only now instead of Jisoo's house this was at Jackson's.

Jennie reached out to touch her shoulder.

"You ready to go in?"

And instead of Lisa she was with Jennie. Smiling tightly Chaeyoung nodded to Jennie and they walked up to the door pushing their way inside. The warm bodies all around mixed with the scent of alcohol started to make Chaeyoung a bit nauseous as the music pounded through her skull.

"Hi Nini, hey Chaeng."

Seeing Jennie roll her eyes Chaeyoung turned and smiled.

"Hey Tae, how are you."

Before he could answer she felt Jennie reach out and grab her arm tightly, alarmed she looked at her and noticing her intense glare was pointed over in the direction of the door. Lisa was just entering the house and Chaeyoung watched with a pounding heart as she surveyed the room, suddenly her eyes locked in on them and to her surprise she began to walk right over, causing Jennie's grip to tighten on her arm.

"Hi."

Chaeyoung felt like she didn't know how to breathe as Lisa greeted them staring right into her eyes. She couldn't read the emotion she saw there but it wasn't anything like when she had pushed her in the school cafeteria, she looked, conflicted.

"Hey."

Chaeyoung answered softly. After that everyone was silent for a second until Taehyung cleared his throat awkwardly.

"So Lisa, what's up?"

Lisa opened her mouth to speak but then looked down at Jennies hand still on Chaeyoung's arm, Chaeyoung watched as her hold demeanour seemed to deflate slightly. Lisa smiled tightly and spoke.

"Not much I just wanted to say, Chaeyoung," she turned towards Chaeyoung, rubbing her neck, "uhm... Sorry for pushing you that was... Rude."

Lisa wouldn't meet her eyes and Chaeyoung barely registered the apology, she was silent for a second before she remembered to speak.

"Oh, uh. It's fine."

She could feel Jennie stiffen at that response but Chaeyoung continued.

"Don't worry about it Lisa really."

Lisa's expression was empty as she just nodded slightly.

"Okay. Bye guys."

She walked away and Chaeyoung watched until she disappeared into the kitchen. She heard Jennie let out a shaky breath and felt her drag her closer.

"What the hell Rosie?"

Taehyung looked between them and slowly shuffled away to go talk to someone else. Chaeyoung didn't blame him.

"What?"

Jennie closed her eyes and let go taking a step back.

"You're really just gonna let her get away with that shitty apology?"

"Jennie," Chaeyoung reached out and grabbed her shoulder softly noticing how Jennie jumped slightly at the contact, "I don't want to have enemies."

She gulped.

"Especially not her."

Jennie looked resigned.

"I told Irene I would meet her outside... do you wanna come with me."
