Gabriella POV
I covered my eyes as the bright lights almost blinded me. We were walking, I scrunched my nose in disgust as the door opened and a bulky man stepped out. He eyed me suspiciously. Alek glared at him as he bowed and turned around. The doors opened and closed, giving out the foul smell, the smell of weeds and drugs lingered in the air.
"We will be away from it after a few minutes" Ethan spoke since Alek was on his signature mood. I nodded, this wasn't some warehouse it was one of their main dealing houses and I was getting annoyed with Elise's constant grunts.
"Why are we here?" I whispered leaning closer to Zane since Alek doesn't answer my questions, believe me I tried.
"He wants you" he sighed.
From the side a door opened, I watched men inside the room was really enjoying their time. On instinct I closed my eyes as the woman bent down to do her work. Damon stifled his laugh looking at me as he ordered a man to close it. There were other doors opened too but I didn't want to witness the same thing again.
"Who wants me?" I furrowed my eyebrows. This deal house had guards at every entrance and door, maybe it was one of Alek's main bases
Zane couldn't answer as he switched the lights on, one by one the lights came in to life, I was startled looking at the hallway which was heavily guarded. I have no idea how these men saw in the dark. The guards only nod at Alek's presence and if you didn't look closely, you would even think these men were statues. At the end of the hallway was a single door, that had a glowing thing on the side.
Elise inched closer to Ethan. Why did she even come here? The twins shook their heads and smirked knowingly in my direction, they must hate her too.
It was scanning system, specifically a face recognition scanner. Alek let his fingers slip through our intertwined hands, he walked forward and bent down a little for the scanner to scan.
"Welcome Mr. Nicholas Viotto" the automated voice echoed through the hall, Zane walked next, "Welcome Mr. Kaeden Alejandro"
I gulped as the door opened, "Everyone else except Ethan and Gabriella stay here" Alek ordered as they nodded, Blaze was smiling encouragingly at me to get rid of the thoughts I was thinking.
"You are not going to get murdered by them" Ria whispered, I don't why Damon brought her here, she was pregnant so she should rest more.
The worries I had about her left the moment I stepped in to another hallway leaving the rest behind and I wished that I was anywhere but here.
There were about twenty cells, fourteen of them were holding people, all of their eyes turned to us upon hearing the door open. The only light in this hallway was the small window right next to the now closed door, making it impossible for the hostages to escape but making them hope that there is a chance but I knew there wasn't any. Because even if you magically unlock the cell door, outside there was a dozen guards holding rifles, and with a snap of their finger you are either dead and locked up again.
There were three women and eleven men. From all of them only one seemed to be crying, it was the girl in the sixth cell while the others were either glaring at the guys or annoyed at the girl's cries. Zane, Ethan and Alek ignored it but I couldn't even though I told myself that they must have done something to be here.
"Who is she?" I whispered at the guys who simultaneously looked at me, "sixth cell?"
"Nancy Alderman" Zane whispered back, I stared at him expecting him to tell me something else too but he didn't neither did the other two.
