Chapter 8 - Sugar High

Alek POV

I watched as Gabriella walked away from me. She was interesting since the day one I saw her. Her composure when she put that scrawny Junior Cheran in his place was fascinating. She had that power and confidence. She reminded me of the girl I wanted to forget.

Ethan, Damon, Sia, Ria and I watched the scene unravel. Zane was not with us until lunch that day but he found it out today. She was a mystery, and she was the weapon I needed

Ethan our technician, the best in the electronic field, he did found about everyone attending the college but the one thing he couldn't figure out was we knew that Gabriella was Marcello's daughter but why would he announce Lucas as the heir then?

Why was there a sudden change in power between him and her?

Zane, Ethan and myself wanted to know what the Scythe were hiding especially with Lucas back in the picture after years of off grid.

When I encountered Gabriella last time I didn't think that she was a girl who could carry a heavy punch, it sure did surprise me when she elbowed me even against the odds.

I walked into my room where Ethan, Damon and Zane were seated. College wasn't a problem to us since this was an underworld event and it was only another place to deal with stuff and keep under the cops radar.

"Man where were you?" Zane whined, "I had peed more than three times yet you weren't there"

"Who gave him candy?" I glared at them as Zane stood up on the couch

"I am going to catch stars!" he yelled

"The stars are there Zane not above you" Blaze pointed at the balcony walking inside. Zane jumped down and ran towards the balcony.

"I couldn't find anything about that girl" Ethan stood up and walked towards me as I removed my coat and sat on the bed, "But check this"

He handed me the laptop, "Her face is not caught in any of the surveillance that makes me think that she might have been hidden all along" the only picture was at the hospital, where we saw her for the first time, "or either she is good at hiding her tracks, may be the best one since it was nearly impossible to find anything on her"

If Ethan hadn't met her at that time, I wouldn't be able to use her now

"But there's has to be something, there has to be a loop" Damon stated as Blaze nodded

"What about her friends?" I turned at Blaze's question.

"Except Lucas and the Dark Angels, there's nothing worth searching" Ethan huffed, he hated when he couldn't figure out, "give me some more time I will figure out a way"

I removed my watch but suddenly Gabriella's giggles flashed on my mind.

She was quick to catch my watch and the way she saved the old man was amazing. Her looks and height can deceive any man to think that she was small naïve girl. I hated the fact I hurt her wrist I could see that she would occasionally shake and massage her wrist in the dinner party and in the elevator.
