Janet's pov
I panted as I immediately woke up,I saw that my leg was in a cast.i looked around and realized that I was no longer on the field but inside in the girls locker room,I saw some crutches next to me and grabbed them.I used them to walk out of the girls locker room and out to the football field,the game was still going on!i gasped,trying to walk faster towards the field with my crutches.i finally made it to the field,only to be spotted by Wendell."Jane!"he cried out,he ran toward me and hugged me.i hugged him back,dropping my crutches."I thought I got you killed!"he was being dramatic,"Wendell you didn't kill me,I saved your butt from seeing your shin bone or something like that."I reminded him.
"Yeah well you scared everyone:except for coach."he said,"where is coach?"I asked."we got mad at him for now caring about you so we kicked him out,now Lance is the new coach!"he explained,I widened my eyes."no way!"I exclaimed,"yes way!you gotta come see this."he said.he picked up my crutches for me and handed them to me,I followed him to the boys and saw Lance coaching everyone.i was impressed and proud,I grabbed Wendell's arm."Wait."i said,"what is it?"he asked."I have a feeling that we're gonna win,I wanna be a surprise."i said,he smiled and nodded.eventually,like I predicted,we won.the team went nuts and cheered,dumping Gatorade on Lance.i laughed,Wendell then lifted me up.
"Look what I have!"he yelled,the team saw me and gasped."Janet!"they all said,as Wendell put me down they all hugged me."we were so worried about you Janey!"Billy Bob admitted,"that was a stupid stunt Janet!"Charlie And Mox said."Well I'm still alive ain't I?"I asked them,they nodded."Janet!"Lance called out,the boys cleared a path for me.i could see Lance,I threw down my crutches and limped towards him.we hugged and kissed,"you did it!"i said."Yeah,the team won because of me!"Lance said happily,"I told you that you'd be be back on the field."I reminded him of the conversation we had a couple of days ago.
