TOMMY

i didn't know where i was going but i just left. i just kept walking. i then saw someone else, someone i noticed. "harvey" i smiled as i walked over to him, putting my bag down beside me. harvey looked at me. he looked back down and fiddled with his fingers. "what are you doing here" i asked him. "why are you here" he asked me, avoiding my question. i looked down at my bag, "had to get out of my house, can't find a place to stay though" i sighed. "now why are you here" i asked him.

harvey didn't answer, he kept fiddling with his fingers. his legs were shaking as if he was scared or nervous. "are you okay though" i asked him, he slowly nodded. "look harvey, you can talk to me" i assured him. harvey looked at me and nodded. "but you promise this is only between us two and no one else" harvey asked, i nodded. "of course not, only between you and me" i smiled, harvey nodded.

MAX

we were all sat down for dinner, ben had to sit on my knee because my dad needed the other chair. "so what's the deal with the rest of these kids" my dad asked, talking about everyone except me and harvey. "they're my children" my mom said as she ate another roast potato. "with all different men" my dad asked, "what's it to you" my mom snapped back slightly. "i was just asking, calm down" my dad laughed as he put his arms up in defence. we all quickly finished, "right max, clear the table" my dad instructed. "you will find you no longer live here, hannah clear the table" my mom jumped in. i didn't argue and let hannah clear the table.

harvey left to go on a walk and i went to our bedroom. i was watching tv when my dad came in. he sat on the bottom bunk of our bunk beds and looked at me. i turned off my tv and looked back. "never let a woman do a job you can do" my dad said as he pointed his finger at me. "you should have told your mother that you would clear the table, not that poor hanrah clean it" he said in a slightly angry tone as he stood up. "her names hannah" i muttered. "excuse me" my dad asked, turning to face me "i said her name is hannah not hanrah" i snapped a little at him. "you don't ever speak to me like that again" he yelled at me.

PEYTON

i wanted to go after tommy, i knew my dad wouldn't have kicked him out forever. me and my dad sat watching some garbage on the tv but i couldn't stop thinking about tommy. tommy was so nice and my dad was a dick to him for no reason. "peyton" my dad yelled slightly, i came back into reality and looked at him. "someone's here to see you" he said with a smile on his face. i nodded, i stood up and made my way to the front door. i looked up and saw harvey standing there, he was wearing tommy's clothes. "hey" he smiled. i was a little shocked. "can i come in" he asked.

i took harvey to my room and shut the door. "what are you doing here? why are you dressed in tommy's clothes? where's tommy?" i kept asking him questions. "look sit down and calm down" harvey said as he sat down. i went over and joined him on the bed. "i have an explanation, don't worry" he said, with that cheeky little smile on his face. "well you better start explaining before i get angry" i told him. i hated not knowing things and it made me angry when people didn't tell me what was happening.

HARVEY

"okay so let me get this straight" tommy said after i had ranted to him. "you don't like your dad, so much that when he's around it causes you to stutter" tommy asked, i nodded. "and you don't want to go back home because your dads there" he asked, i nodded again. "and you don't want to go back home because your dad kicked you out" i said, i was slowly making up a plan in my head. "well then it's simple" tommy said after we sat thinking for a couple moments. "you go to my house and i go to yours" he smiled. "couple of slight notes there, one, we both have different clothes, two, what happens in the morning when we wake up and three, your dad knows who i am, and you look nothing like me" i smiled at him.

we had worked out a plan, me and tommy swapped clothes. we were both similar heights and if tommy was fast enough my parents wouldn't ask any questions. "okay but when you go to mines you have to say you're there to see peyton, my dad will believe that" tommy told me. i nodded. "and remember, don't stop and talk, head straight down the hall, the plain brown door is mine and max's" i reminded him. "the plain door" he muttered, reminding himself. "also max will be in there but just explain everything to him, he will cover for you, or me, or us" i kept correcting myself. "okay harvey i think i get it" tommy smiled, i nodded. "i'll see you tomorrow" we both smiled and began walking in our own separate directions.
