hi, i'm back, please enjoy

I was absolutely hundred percent certain I was shitting myself.

I could feel everything in my stomach swirl into a storm, a tornado - cracking all my bones and caving my lungs in. I wasn't breathing, there was no room or air to do so. I was going to be sick, I fucking knew I was. Everything suddenly started to feel super far away except Hye and I.

From across the room, his eyes continued to bore into mine, thick with the familiar darkness that accompanied his brown orbs as the disco lights bounced off his structured cheekbone back towards the wall.

He gave me a wave.

"Y/n..."

"Y/n..."

"Y/n!" Soy screamed, blistering the memories that resurfaced through my head.

I turned to her, my eyes burning with unshed tears, and she gripped my hand, eyes flashing between Hye and I. "You need to get out of here now and when I say 'now', I am mean right fucking now."

I swallowed and whipped my head back to the biggest imposing threat so far in my life and my eyes widened when I saw he was heading in my direction. The tsunami of a crowd split in half for him like he was royalty.

That was enough for Soy to tug my hand and usher me through the clusterfuck of people in our way.

"Soy-"

"I know, Y/n, I know," she said softly and squeezed my hand in comfort. "The back door is blocked by a few of Bae's friends and Jeon is guarding the front so it's probably best to hide out in the upstairs bathroom."

"Is there really no fucking way of getting out of this shithole?!"

"No, there isn't. You go in there and I'll come get you when the coast is clear."

"Soy, don't leave me—"

"It's okay; I swear I would never leave you here. Go in the bathroom, lock the door, and I'll knock thrice so you know it's me. Hurry!"

I trudged up the steps of Park Mansion like my life depended on it and pushed through the many high teens who were bloody dancing all around the stairwell. The adrenaline that pumped through my veins spread like hot fire as my steps grew more aggressive.

Reaching the bathroom felt like an eternity but I did, twisting the knob and opening the door before slamming it shut. I flicked on the light just as I locked the door, my heart hammering against my chest as I finally caught my withering breath.
