BREWING POTIONS

Audrey laughed as she poured two drops of leechjuice into the boiling cauldron that she and her group were working on. "Shut up and fix some water." she said to Draco who was currently having a laughing fit over how her hair was getting all frizzy.

"Here," said Draco and handed her a bottle of water which was one of the last ingredients they needed for the potion.

This lesson was the first in a while that Audrey had actually been looking forward to. Ever since Pansy's party, she and Draco had been on much better terms, which was a great relief.

That's not to say that everything was completely back to normal though. They talked to each other very differently than they used to. Way too polite. Maybe even a bit formal. They could joke around and laugh, but a slight bit of awkwardness still lingered in the air.

Audrey added the water into the cauldron and watched it bubble furiously. "Okay, we should be finished now."

Draco nodded and looked around the class to see if the other groups had finished theirs yet. He was proud to calm that the other groups weren't finished.

Audrey and Draco had a silent agreement. They. Would. Win. The. Potions. Competition. This was no joke. Both of them were completely determined that at the end of the year, they would be the winning group of Snape's very complicated competition.

"Done," stated Draco dramatically and smirked proudly when a few students looked at their cauldron with jealousy.

"We still have around 30 minutes left. Should we start on the next potion on the list?" said Audrey with a quick glance at the clock.

"I suppose." Draco shrugged.

"Ugh no, can we just be done now? It's so boring here." grumbled Theodore, who latterly had done nothing but sit on his butt during the whole lesson.

Audrey rolled her eyes. "You've got no reason to complain, Nott. Just be glad that you have two friends who are willing to do all the work for you."

She sat down and glanced at the redhaired boy who looked as if he was half asleep, his head resting on the table. "Weasley?"

At once, he sat up startled with wide eyes. Audrey chuckled at his expression. "Are you actually sleeping?"

Draco snickered behind her.

"No," said Weasley and sent Draco a deadly glare. "What? Are we done now, or?"

Audrey nodded. "Yeah, but we were thinking about starting on the next potion. Then we'll be way ahead of the others. What do you think?
