NO HAPPY MEMORIES

If she could, Audrey would've zoomed away as fast as possible, pretending that she hadn't been there and heard and seen the things she had. Unfortunately, it felt as if Snape's glare was pinning her down, preventing her from leaving. "Er— Hi Professor. I was just walking by." she said, faking a smile and hoping she could convince him that she hadn't been eavesdropping. It didn't surprise her when Snape only raised an eyebrow, clearly stating that he didn't believe her one bit. Audrey lowered her gaze to the floor as if ready to be scolded.

"What is she doing here?" said the same wizard that had opened the door. "How much did you hear, girl?"

"Nothing, I don't know what you're talking about? I was just walking by—" The old man seemed to relax a little showing that Audrey's lying skills were good enough to fool him, but unfortunately she couldn't fool Snape.

"May I ask, Miss Vane. What exactly are you doing, eavesdropping like this? And don't you dare lie again, there's no use." said Snape.

Audrey sighed in defeat, knowing that Snape wasn't going to believe her no matter what she said. "Fine, yeah. I happened to walk past, and I overheard some things."

"What things?" said the old man looking terrified.

"Er, something about... death eaters—?"

The old man gasped and took a few steps back, shaking his head. "Who forgot to put a silencing charm on the door? Severus, we've got to erase her memory."

Snape nodded thoughtfully, still looking down at Audrey in a very not pleased way. Audrey was one of Snape's favorite students and she could imagine that he was most of all disappointed in her. Not for eavesdropping, but for making his house look bad in front of the other adults. When the old man mentioned erasing her memory Audrey stepped back abruptly. "I— No! I won't have my memory erased, not a chance."

"I'm afraid we haven't got a choice, Vane." said Snape coldly. Audrey glared at him angrily as if that was going to help. Then she turned around and did something very stupid. She simply ran. She ran away from the adults and away from The Three Broomsticks and eventually back to Hogwarts, hiding in the Slytherin girls dormitories, hoping that her memory would not get erased. It was only when she sat down in her bunk that the new information really settled down. The death eaters were planning to return.

Draco had stopped playing on the Slytherin Quidditch team ages ago, but the Quidditch field would always feel like home to him. And that is exactly why he the moment they got home from the Hogsmeade trip got his broomstick and flew around at the Hogwarts grounds. Flying in the dark and cold wind was the most refreshing feeling he knew, and it always calmed him down in the best way possible, making him forget about all worries he had on his mind. After flying around for a while (he didn't know how long because time didn't really exist when he was on his broom) Draco finally decided that it was time to head back. He placed his broom in the shed and started walking towards the castle.
