"No, no, no, no," Serena said, marching into my room and crossing her arms in front of me while I sat on my bed.

I frowned, "What?"

"If you think you can tell me that you and Blake ARENT a thing after last night, you're mentally insane," she said, sitting on the other side of my bed.

I rolled my eyes, "We're just friends. I don't like him like that."

"My ass," she scoffed, "If mom forgets to buy little bites when she gets the groceries you're so stubborn that you won't talk to her for two days. You're telling me that Blake made a bet, saw you in your mental state, won the bet in front of you, and you forgave him just like that?"

I took in her words, not even realizing that she was speaking the truth, "Uh, yeah. Now that you say that, I guess so." I frowned.

"And you're telling me you don't have feelings for him?" She asked, her tone changing from interrogative to curious.

"I- I don't think so," I shrugged, "But even if I did, it doesn't matter. I already planned out how I'm going to meet the love of my life, and Blake is not him."

She shook her head, "You're insane. You're 17, you shouldn't be dating for marriage, you should be dating for the fun of it. Falling in love is just a perk."

I shook my head, "Nope, that's not how I want to be."

"Let me guess, you want to be like mom and dad," she mimicked, sticking out her tongue at me, "Things like that rarely ever happen, Bails."

I stayed quiet, and she did too, just thinking about what to say to each other next.

I didn't care what she had to say, quite frankly, I had plans on how I wanted my future to go, and it's not going to be wasted on dating if it's not who I'm going to end up with.

But did I like Blake?

I liked the way his dark blue eyes sparkled when he talked about the things that he liked. I liked his smile and the way his perfectly straight teeth looked with his lips. I liked how he put up this f-boy vibe on social media, but he was really a softie at heart. And I liked the way-

"I got it!" Serena said excitedly, jumping up from my bed. My cheeks flushed red at what I had been thinking about, but listened to her anyway. "Meet me down stairs in 30, no later."

She rushed out of my room, leaving me flustered on my bed. Jesus, did I like Blake?

30 minutes later, I found myself downstairs on the couch, Avani and Serena standing in front of me with a whole ass PowerPoint on the tv. When the hell did Avani even get here?

"Alright, we know why we're all here, and that is to prove that Blake and Bailey are perfect for each other," Serena nodded.

Avani clicked the computer and it changed the tv screen to the first slide.

"Okay," Serena said reading off the screen, "We'll start with the obvious reasons. Blake clearly likes you because of his constant flirting, and you clearly like him because of how you react around him."

I went to interject, but Avani spoke before me, "Before you object, just listen, we gave a good point with all of this."

I crossed my arms and sat back a little bit, trying to listen to the girls in front of me.

Serena continued, "Reason number three is because you guys balance each other out. Blake is this soft guy on the inside that is super spontaneous and adventurous, where you're this stubborn girl who would rather sit home by herself and read a book. Opposites attract in this case."

She did make a fair point. As much as I wanted to speak out against the two girls in front of me, I really couldn't. It's not like they were lying about anything they were saying.

"And lastly, I know you because you're my sister. You're an extreme hopeless romantic that wants to find her soulmate in the most cliche way possible. Kind of like how mom met dad after he accidentally spilled coffee on her," Serena said, making me nod, "That's true."

"Well we gave the perfect proof for that," she said with a grin, now turning off the pointless PowerPoint and coming to sit in front of me with Avani.

"Dad accidentally spilled coffee on mom, right? Well, if I do recall, the night you first met Blake, he happened to spill his drink on you," Serena said.

I nodded, "It was disgusting. I smelled like a white claw and my arm was sticky."

"Then, dad had to go crazy just to get mom to go on a date with him, before she finally did. Blake had to go through extreme measures of calling your sister just to get you to go on a date with him," Avani said, a smirk on her face.

Oh my god, how did I not realize any of this?

"Next, he was doing everything romantically possible before they finally started dating. Now, if you really want that perfect cliche movie, I think you know what's going to happen next," Serena said.

My eyes widened, "Oh my goodness. I'm living a 2020 version of a cliche love story?" I asked, not even believing what was coming out of my mouth.

The girls nodded with excited squeals, "And we know you already like him, Bails, so you don't need to hide it."

I nodded, "I know that, but I've been friend zoning him ever since I met him."

Serena shrugged with a grin, "There's nothing a little Grant charm can't do... we need to teach you how to flirt."

Lord God help me.
