        LAUREN HAS NEVER EXPERIENCED MORE PANIC AS THE ONE SHE FELT WHEN SHE SAW HER EX BOYFRIEND APPROACH HER.

"Hey, Lauren!" He exclaimed and the girl smiled. "You did something to your hair?"

"In the last five years? Yeah," she answered. "How's the band?"

"Great, uhm... we got a record deal, which is amazing. Woah... I haven't seen you in so long. Since..."

"The funeral, yeah."

"Hey," said Luke as he intervened the conversation. Both Austin and Lauren looked at him, who only had eyes for the girl. "We are gonna perform in a few seconds."

"Oh, thanks for letting me know." Luke turned around to look at Austin, offering him his hand.

Austin shook it, both staring at each other awkwardly.

"Luke Patterson," he presented himself and Austin smiled.

"Austin Boyd, nice to meet you."

"Same... are you friends with Grey?"

"With Lauren? Yeah, old friends," replied Austin as he looked at the girl. "Which reminds me..."

Austin took a little box from his pocket and gave it to her with a smile.

"Happy birthday, Grey."

Luke stared at the girl confused as she smiled.

"Thanks Austin... Can't believe you remembered it."

"It's your birthday?" Asked Luke and she shook her head.

"No, it was a few days ago."

"November 10th," added Austin. "You guys are dating?"

"No, we are just friends," was quick to answer Lauren as she put the box in her pocket. "Don't you have to perform?"

"Right," murmured Luke, alternating his sight from Lauren to Austin and back to Lauren, "see you after, Grey. Nice to meet you, Austin."

"Same thing." And with that Luke left, not much convinced. "Bassist?"

"Guitarist," she corrected as both stood next to each other, with their eyes pointing towards the band.

"Never pictured you with a guitarist."

"We aren't dating. He's in the Banned List, so..."

"Woah, that's still a thing?" She nodded. "And who put him there?"

"Who do you think?"

Both looked over at Lizzie, who was smiling widely at Luke as he grabbed his guitar. Austin let out a laugh.

"Things really haven't changed that much. Well... except for you."
