Lauren was hating this date more than ever. She was hating it so much.

Good luck the bell rang, huh?

Quick dates. Fast dates. Speed dates. Whatever you like to call them. They are really common in the City of Angels, and Becca insisted that Lauren should do it.

And now she was stuck in a random Tuesday at a restaurant, while several boys sat in front of her for no more than five minutes. But she wasn't lucky enough to actually leave with one, like most of the girls on the other tables.

Why was she so difficult?

"Hi, I'm Lauren."

"Daniel," he introduced himself. "Are you in college?" The girl nodded. "Cool, what are you studying?"

"English. Why? You think it's easy?"

Well, maybe was because she wasn't good at dates.

"I never said that."

"Good, Daniel. What do you like to do?"

"I'm a film mayor—"

"Ugh... this is why you can't get a date. Everyone hates film mayors. Next!"

"The three minutes haven't passed—"

But Lauren didn't even flinch. She just saw him as he left towards the next table, and she simply rolled her eyes.

"So, you are what they call the undatable," said the guy that sat next. He seemed tall, with dark hair and green eyes that immediately reminded him of Luke's, but decided to toss that thought away. "I'm Derek."

"Hello, Derek, I'm Lauren and yes... I am an English mayor, that doesn't make me less smart."

"Really? I wonder how many guys have assumed that since you've been here."

"A lot. English mayor not necessarily have to be less smart. Sometimes, we are smarter than physicians. Think about that."

"I will... I'm actually an English mayor so I already think that." Lauren chuckled.

"No way..."

"Yes way..."

They both chuckled, and Lauren couldn't help but to smile.

"Okay, what's your favorite book?"

"That's the worst question you can ask an English mayor," Lauren replied honestly. "I can never pick one."

"It's impossible to pick one, isn't it? I would have left the table if you said one," said Derek, making Lauren smirk.

"What's your favorite movie?"
