I woke up the next day a little earlier than usual so everyone was still asleep, I got up quietly not to wake them and went outside the cold morning winds hit my face sending a chill down my back but for the most part, it didn't affect me I was getting more use to living as a fox but I was still worried had my family been worried to have they been looking for me had my mom and dad been worried. the thought quickly left when Damon stood next to me.
"are you alright?" he asked his eyes showed tiredness but yet a hint of worry, he must have seen the longing in my eyes cause he seemed to smile. "you miss your family," he said looking forward I was confused I don't remember telling him about them but he seemed to know about them maybe he meant my family as in like my fox parents which I didn't have I must have made a weird face cause he seemed confused now. "Sorry I should be careful what I say, I just assumed since everyone's had a family once that you did too." he said in a ramble then looked away embarrassed. "sorry I'm being weird," he said still looking away, I couldn't help but smile at him
"I do miss them but maybe one day ill see them again," I said my tail wagged at the thought of being back home away from the cold and being human again. we talked a little more after that and Atlas woke up not too much after that and we just goofed around the entire day I had forgotten then feeling of longing I had for my home, I felt like I was home when I was laughing and playing around with them. I still think about home every night though and I can't wait till I find a way to go back but right now it was just the three of us and I didn't mind it at all.
