Julian POV

Jask looked to his lap, bringing his other hand to touch the smokes in his hand. He unfolded the top of the pack back and looked in. six smokes, how he left it. Along with his white lighter slid in against the sides. He pulled out the lighter, his actions seeming more careful with everything that he did. Not in a wary way but just in a way that everything seemed alive and like he had to be gentle, appreciate, and love it.

Jask looked up to Geralt and smiled to him, pleased that Geralt wanted to come with Jask. He liked the cold, although his body felt different due to all the personalities inside of him. Dandelion loved the boiling hot for example.

Jask hopped out of the car, shutting the door behind him. He kept smokes in one hand. His lighter in the other as he looked to Geralt then started to walk to the building complex. He smiled, walking there happily with a small soft hum, almost like a lullaby, coming from his closed lips. He looked down at himself. Okay, no, he had to change.

"Um, Gear-Bear? Do you mind if I drop my jacket into the apartment first? And the tie?" He said with a small smile. It was an odd request, Jask liked to wear what he was comfortable in. Calmed his nerves down.

He arrived at the first flight of stairs and lifted a leg, going to take the first step before a small frown came on his face again. "Ouch." He said as he moved. Obviously, this side of Jaskier was much more open in different areas. He still took it stair by stair, a small frown on his brow the whole time. This hurt, quite badly actually.

Geralt POV

"Don't call me that," Geralt muttered loud enough for Jask to hear, taking larger strides in order to catch up with the man. "But yes, we can." He might as well drop off his own things as well, and check on the place. Find the cat, who he hadn't seen much of that morning. Roach he could check on as well, make sure she was fed and content. She loved the roof, but he had only made the mistake of allowing her up there once.

Geralt only had the key since he was from Witcher Corps, and might need roof access for any number of things. The landlord hadn't been thrilled when Geralt had proven he could pick locks and get into the roof anyways, so he was given a key as a reminder to lock the door behind him, even if he insisted on picking it. Geralt used the key.

Geralt watched as Jask made his way up the stairs, silently deciding that he would be carrying the man up to the roof. It would be better for both of them. They could move at Geralt's pace, and Jask would be in a good deal less pain.

Once they were at the top of the stairs, Geralt walked beside Jask as they made it down the hall. No one else was out and about right now, either at work or school, or inside out of the rain.

Geralt unlocked the door to his, possibly their, apartment, and swing the door open, stepping partially inside in front of Jaskier to look the room over. He swept it with his eyes, but nothing told him it had been disturbed or that someone was there who wasn't supposed to. Satisfied, he moved out of Jask's way to go and check the other rooms.

Julian POV

Jask was worried instantly as Geralt told him not to call him that. It was just a request not to call him that, he should have asked in the first place. Dammit, he knew he would fuck this up and he would make Geralt somehow not like him. He kept on a strong front though, offering a small smile and a muttered "Sorry," following it.

He tried to be fast going up the stairs, but his version for fast was not the same as Julian's. Julian could power up these, Jask had to take his time and was more worried about re-injuring himself. He still managed to get up there at a reasonable pace through which thank the gods for that. He walked alongside Geralt, quietly fumbling with the lighter in his hand and tried to remind himself not to randomly keep the flame on. He was a fan of candles, flames, embers, and such. The color of it mainly.
