Geralt POV

Vesemir probably thought he was a fool. Geralt stood by what he had said. He didn't have another path through this. He as already going to be hurt, he was just trying to lessen the blow. Nothing wrong with that.

He took his seat again when Vesemir sat, forcing himself to pay attention even though he honestly could not care less. For fucks sake, it was just a meal. Why should he care which for to use? It was a fork, what was the point? But he listened as best he could anyways, taking in the information he was being given and locking it away to access later. It would come in handy, he knew, even if he still thought it was pointless.

Pun not intended.

"No," he replied. "I should go." How had it already been an hour? Geralt got stiffly to his feet, trying to come up with a way to thank Vesemir that didn't sound forced or rude or childish. At last he settled for, "thanks," said gruffly but still genuinely. He gave a calm nod and then checked he still had everything. Then he headed for the door

Fuck, he shouldn't have taken his eyes from the time. He just hoped that Irys hadn't managed to get himself kidnapped again. Geralt didn't want to go on another chase or to put Irys through that again. Vesemir knew where Geralt had been this morning, though. It wasn't like he had left Irys to go and do whatever. He had taken Ciri to school then contacted Headquarters.

Vesemir POV

Vesemir nodded to Geralt, it was true he should be going and he knew Geralt gave no shits about which fork to use with what. Plus, Jaskier would not give a shit if he ate with his damn hands, okay maybe he would a little if that managed to happen. But still, his point remains.

He gave a small smile to Geralt as he said thanks and nodded to him "Anytime son, tell Triss to turn on the cameras again on your way out. And if you need anything... I am a call away." He said with a nod to him once more. Geralt was a good man, as was Julian and together in this shit hole of a world, they manage to make something out of it despite the circumstances. It's only a matter of time before Geralt realises he loves him.

He turned his phone back on and re-booted up his computer, thankfully everything did autosave and he quickly went into it again, accessing each of the files as he opened his drawer and got to work once again.

Julian POV

Irys was still sitting on the floor. He had gotten up a few times to get another orange and honestly, he had been out for a while so he knew he was going to change soon. And he did. To Jask who thankfully didn't mind eating oranges anyways so he continued on with the last of what he had left in his hand, it wasn't much and he enjoyed it, just nowhere near as much as Irys who found it orgasmic.

He stood up, walking over to the kitchen and washed his hands, freeing it from the sticky residue of the sweet fruit he was eating earlier on. He looked to Roach, seeing as she was wide awake now. Expected seeming as she had gone ahead and had a stupid amount of sleep during the past two days. He walked over to Avocado and made a small hm. He turned his head, looking tot he time. Geralt should have been home 5 minutes ago if he were coming straight home. And Roach needed a walk but maybe seeming Avocado had a whole lot of hype to him, he could go on one too.

He grabbed his wallet and looked around for a moment. Fuck, Geralt didn't leave a spare key did he? He frowned as he looked around. Now, where would Geralt keep a spare house key if he were him? Fuck, well now he was truly lost. He thought for a moment. Outsmart by being dumb. Roach was his most prized companion. He moved over to where her lead usually was behind the door and saw a dog bag. Geralt doesn't use a dog bag. He opened it up, finding the key inside of it. Jackpot.
