Julian POV

Jaskier smiled softly to Geralt for all of two seconds, mainly for a message of thanks to be conveyed. He looked down at Geralt's hand aking him around and he followed him slowly. Every step he made was careful, fear through his blood and deep down into his bones and he looked around, silently praying that they were alone apart from the two furry companions of theirs.

He kept his eyes open, examining over every room briefly for good measure. He didn't need to, he trusted Geralt enough to be able to do so without the man here. After all, it was something Geralt did before Jaskier walked into his life. Lord, they have had one hell of an adventure. Thinking back on it was helping Jaskier cope with what just happened as well.

Jaskier could feel his hands were still slightly shaking, the aftereffect of all the memories. He was handling this well though, even if he was a bit out of it. Maybe it was the fact Geralt was here, that did seem to calm him down a lot. Geralt had been here for most of it more or less, Connor was the reason he hired Geralt in general honestly.

Jaskier looked to Geralt once they were heading back for the door, he paused in front of it when Geralt did, allowing the man time to lock the door before he slid his arms around Geralt's neck from the front of the man and hugged onto him. Why was he hugging the man like his life depended on it, he had no idea. Maybe it was because of what just happened, maybe it was because of the fact that even he could smell Connor on him where he licked him.

"I can still smell him," he said as he buried his head into Geralt's neck. He wanted to grab Geralt's head, get him to lick over it and replace it with his scent. But one, that's was him being a fool in love and two, he could at least wash the area first.

Geralt POV

Geralt wrapped his arms around Jaskier's waist without a second thought when the man hugged him. The arms around his neck didn't give him pause. He trusted Jaskier not to harm him, and the man was at a bad angle to properly choke Geralt before Geralt could escape. Either way, he wasn't in too much of harm's way.

He leaned forwards enough to put his chin on Jaskier's shoulder, holding the man a little closer. His eyes he kept open, even though he could only see the door in front of him right now. The moment felt a little less intimate with them open. He was offering comfort, was all. And only when Jaskier took it for himself. He wasn't making this into something it wasn't, and he didn't think he was overstepping. Getting too comfortable here could shatter that.

"Hm," he replied, aware Jaskier would be feeling the vibrations. "I'm not licking you unless you ask," he said casually. He didn't actually want to lick Jaskier's face, especially not with someone else's saliva already there, but it was just skin. He'd licked people and wanted to lick Jaskier before. This just wasn't quite how he imagined it.

Julian POV

Jaskier nuzzled into the man's neck as soon as he felt his arms around him. Safe, confined in Geralt, protected. He felt all of these when he was where he was currently standing and overall, he smelt like home the most.

Jaskier paused in his nuzzling into Geralt's neck when the man spoke, smiling a little bit, pathetic smile really but it still was a smile, as he felt the vibrations from Geralt's neck as he spoke. He was like a designer purr box really. He and avocado tucked away in the corner busy purring at each other would be a sight to see. They had just under 4 hours before they ended up going to dinner which was at 9 but arrive at 8:30. Jaskier had to sort himself by then and what Geralt was offering, the fucking mind reader would be the fastest way to feel like he belonged with Geralt again and felt he showed it.
