Y/N's Dorm Room
Y/N pov:
Son of a- dammit, I hate making pyromancy gloves without the proper protection, I could've just done it someway else but then the moxie that it needs would die off, still...
*Fwooom!*
Suddenly everything went dark, a power outage? More distractions... I can't work like this, I'll go see if there's any grub around, maybe I can make something?
I get from my desk, leave my room and walk down the hall, but very faintly I hear something.
...Crying?
Maybe they're afraid of the dark? I don't know who it is though, it's too dark to see the nameplate on the door, maybe I could use cast light, but I only have one, if I use it out here I won't be able to move it inside...
Grrr! There's no time stand around thinking about this! Whoever they are they're not just gonna get less scared with me standing here!
I open the door, I step inside, I feel something light hit my chest, I disregard it and use cast light, I throw it at the ceiling, the room quickly illuminates.
"Are you okay in here? I heard you- I heard a commotion, if would reveal yourself please?"
???: M-Master!
Oh boy...
Himiko crawled out form under her bed and ran at me, she wrapped her arms around my waist with all her might.
"So it was you I heard huh?"
Himiko: I- I got scared... The dark is scary!
"Wouldn't i know."
Himiko: Master...
"Why didn't you use cast light? I taught it to you right?"
Himiko: I... Accidentally used it already today...
How do you... Whatever.
"Um... You can let go of me now Himiko."
Himiko's eyes shot open as her flew backwards, she had an odd look on her face, like she's thinking about something... Or maybe she's conflicted?
3 and a half minutes of Himiko telling herself that a mage doesn't get scared and me checking in on agni go by, It's been 4 and a half minutes since I cast it.
"Himiko, are you ready?"
Himiko: Nyeh? Ready for what?
"3... 2... 1... Now."
The spell disappeared on cue, Himiko almost immediately falls back in fear, I laugh and walk back over to her, I touch her shoulder.
"Hey! It's okay Himiko, I'm here."
Himiko: B-But the M-Monsters in t-the-
"It's alright Himiko, I'll keep you safe until the lights come back on."
Himiko: *Sniffle* Okay...
I careful guide her to her bed and lay her down, my eyesight is a little more advanced than a normal persons so I can faintly make things out even in pitch black darkness, himiko's shivering, she's not cold so I guess it's fear.
"Are you okay now?"
Himiko: I-I guess...
"Good, I'm gonna go see what the issue is with the generator, you stay here."
I try to get only to be yanked back by my hat.
Himiko: Nyeh! N-No! You can't leave!
"But I have to figure out what the issue is."
