"Very well done Himiko, much improvement since last time, you may even be able handle stronger spells now."
Himiko: Nyehehe! The great Himiko does it again! Soon no one will be able to out do her!
As much as she'd like to think that, she's very far off from any real spells of mass destruction, she is doing well for a beginner though, I've even been grading her, she's got a C with Sorcery, a D in Miracles and a B with Pyromancy.
"Here you are Himiko, today you will be trying a new type of miracle, this one is called great lightning spear."
Himiko: Lightning? Won't that... Hurt?
"Not at all, here take this."
I handed her a red and black talisman, it's made out of her cape, she tried to use a spell she wasn't ready for while wearing it and well... It's not exactly for wearing anymore.
"I made it out your old cape, since you can't use it anymore I figured I could make more use of it."
Himiko: My old cape? Why would you choose that?
"Every tool you have must be personalized, no matter how small or large, that's why I did the same with your staff."
Himiko: I guess... My cape...
"Ah, I figured you'd a little upset, so..."
I reached into my pouch and pulled out some folded cloth.
Himiko: Nyeh? What's that?
"Behold! New and improved."
I grabbed it with two hands and flung it out, unraveling it from it's intricate folds, revealing himiko's cape, fully repaired and flowing with a special magic enchantment.
"I felt bad about you losing this, I know it meant a lot so I used my magic to fix it, well... I duplicated it and then I fixed one and made the other into your Talisman."
Himiko: Nyeh! Really! You're the best master!
I went to Himiko and put the cape on her.
Himiko: N-Nyeh! M-Master, it's embarrassing to have you do it...
"Hmm? I want to see if my handiwork looks nice on you, now stay... Still..."
Almost... There!
All tied and ready, I step back and look at her, sure enough she's still got the look of a magician, but soon she'll be a mage, I'm certain of it!
Himiko: Um... Master?
"Yes? Is something the matter Himiko?"
Himiko: No but... You said handiwork right? Didn't you use magic to fix my cape?
"Well yes, but that only to dispell any curses that may have lingered, I had to stitch it up by hand."
It wasn't easy either, I'm not the best with small things like needles or string, but I couldn't leave my pupil in distress, Master Logan would never stand for that.
Himiko: You didn't have to go through all that trouble you know...
"It was no trouble at all, I wished to help you, so I did, I wouldn't want your mind wandering while you're cast or learning, if that were to happen... Nevermind let's just-"
Himiko: Why do you talk like that?
"What? Whatever do you mean?"
Himiko: You talk like a refined old man sometimes and other times like a normal high schooler!
