schools refuse to talk about something because it might be " uncomfortable or inappropriate " we will learn about the six million lost during the holocaust but we will not talk about the 10,000,000+ that have been slaughtered we most likely will never read To Kill A Mocking Bird because it has the N word in it we have read Maya Angelo's autobiography "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" because we don't talk about rape in school they will teach you the books but only the ones the have been stripped barren from all the important parts white washed so that their hands look a little more clean
we learn to speak up but the world has been screaming for years it seems as though society has gone deaf, blind to the people begging for help the words we speak aren't heard unless we become aggressive so that we can be painted as dangerous roiters we don't want to talk about these things in school but we children are the future and by closing our eyes to these real problems we will never solve we just sweep them under the rug until we trip and fall to the ground a crumble
the pledge says One Nation Under God Indivisible With Liberty And Justice For All yet we have no liberty no justice we could not be more divided yet it is ignored
do with my words what you will but i think its pretty messed up that me as A TWELVE YEAR OLD CHILD has to worry about growing up in a world that is so negligent about prominent issues people say we all have a chance to be great but that's a lie because no matter what we do we are passed over and ever so rarely one of us gets chosen
