I walked into my dorm. Daphne wasn't there for some reason. I walked over to my bed and noticed a strange note on it. I opened it, and pulled out the letter from inside.
To Piper,
I know what we had, our friendship, was short. And I assure you I'm always gonna be with you. Because even though we're still not even a few months friendship, I love you. And I will always be watching you, up from above. Pansy is a bully. Everynight, when you're sleeping or sneaking out past curfew, I am crying.
Or when you're out, I sometimes even cut. It hurts, putting on this tough, happy expression. And Blaise might not be happy with my decision, but it is for the best. I love you, a lot. And I love Blaise. He was too good to me. And I will be watching over him too. Pansy broke me, though. So did her friends.
Each day, they would degrade me. And not any other person noticed, not even Blaise. Make sure Blaise knows I love him more than anything. Even though we also had barely any time together, I still do love him. You will find my body in the lake, with those bizarre merpeople. Don't grieve, though. I wanted this.
From yours, sincerely,
Daphne
My heart shattered, and I clasped my hand with my mouth. Tears fell from my eyes, creating waterfalls and floods. My eyes were red and blood-shot, my mascara dripping down my face. I got up and left the note on the bed. I ran down to the Great Hall. Pansy and her friends were there, and I began hitting them, all of them. They tried to hit back but failed miserably. Everyone stared in shock.
"Piper, what's wrong. You look heartbroken," Blaise gasped.
"D-Daphne, she's-she's gone... because of Pansy and her friend group," I cried.
Tears soon fell from his eyes, and he kept denying it, "Stop with this prank!" or "No she's not." or "You're lying, you have to be!" I hugged him and everyone continued with what they were doing. Yes, this was definitely something to ignore. Not to fucking grieve, not to react to. Pansy and her friends lied on the floor, tears glassing over their eyes.
I dragged Blaise's arm out to the lake.
"She's in here. Get her, I can't stand those awful merpeople." I sobbed.
Without hesitation, he jumped in and swam downwards. He came out, soaking, with the body of Daphne in his hands. She couldn't have survived, she was truly gone.
"She wanted you to know she loved you so much," I said gloomily, as I left him to mourn.
A/N: I know this is short lmao I love short ones
