Thunderstorms (One-shot)

(Naegi's POV)

I close my eyes, still trying to fall asleep.  I can't, I just can't.  The thunder is too loud and the bright glare from the lightning is terrifying.  Normally my boyfriend, Byakuya, would be here to comfort me.  He loves to sleep through weather like this.  I grab my phone from my bedside table and open my messaging app.  I really want to text him and tell him I can't sleep but he's probably busy with a business meeting.  I wouldn't want to take him away from that.  My mind was quickly changed when another loud crack from the thunder nearly shook the ground.  My hands were shaking as I typed out a message for Togami,

"Hey Byakuya, I know you're probably really busy right now but I was wondering, if you get the chance, could you come home early?  I'm having a little trouble sleeping due to the thunderstorm." 

I read it over before pressing send, I sigh hoping that he sees my text.

(Togami's POV) 

*Ding!*  "Ah, pardon me."  I pick up my phone and check my notifications.  A text from Naegi..  "Is there a problem sir?"  One of my business partners asks.  "I'm afraid I'm going to have to leave a bit early today."  I respond, gathering my stuff.  "But sir!  This is one of your most important meetings!  You can't leave now!"  He says, sounding rather panicked.  "Quiet, I have something much more important to attend to.  Reschedule the meeting to tomorrow afternoon." He sighs, "yes sir.."

(Naegi's POV)

*Read 10:15*  My eyes start to tear up as I look down at the bright screen of my phone.  It's now 10:26 and he never responded..  As much as I want to be upset with him, I can't.  I know how important his company is to him, and to leave just because I asked him to would be foolish.  *BOOM!*  I scream and pull the blankets over my head.  I curled into a ball under the many covers, crying.  "Naegi?"  I slowly lower the blankets from my face, looking at the taller blonde in front of me.  "Togami!" I yell out, grabbing onto his waist and pulling him to the bed.  Togami smiles, he takes off his shoes and blazer, then gets into bed with me.  "Gosh, I didn't know you were scared of storms, Naegi."  He says, hugging me.  More thunder struck, I squeak, burying my face into Togami's chest.  "Hey, no.  It's okay Naegi."  He speaks to me with a soft voice, which quickly calms me down.  He rubs my back and gently kisses my head.  "I'm right here, okay?"  He says smiling at me.  I smile back, resting my head on his chest and quickly falling asleep.
