|| Double Trouble ||

Whew, well that was close... I just hope that I'll pass this school year. And I should NOT get close to him. Never.

But how do I avoid him without him noticing me though? I mean... We are homeroom classmates AND seatmates- God, this is so complicated

I looked around and scanned the whole room pretending that nothing has happened, scrolling into my phone and wore my earphones. (I just hope I won't get caught by one of our teachers). Nah, who cares? I'll know it if the bell rings anyway.. I'll just be playing some songs for a while.

The song kept playing until I got carried away with it, causing me to sway my head back and forth together with the tapping of my foot.

But little did I know that my assumptions of the teacher arriving at the same time as the bell was bummed. Because I was wrong

The teacher arrived 15 minutes before the bell rang. And I got caught... Just. Amazing.

He looked at me in a very sharp glare and began speaking

"Chuuya, did I not say to NEVER bring phones in school?!" He said loudly

I didn't respond to this and froze instead. As if I was petrified

Dazai raised his hand

"What, Dazai?" He called out, now facing the brunette

"Sorry sir," He began "The truth is... That phone is actually mine and he just forgot to return it" He lied and turned to me, winking

I flinched and turned back to the teacher "Y-yes sir, It was true... We're very sorry..," I said apologetically, bowing my head

"So that was your phone Dazai?" Asked the teacher for assurance

"Yes sir, and I'm sorry.." He said and bowed his head as well

"Alright," He sighed "But you both will still not get away with detention" He scoffed

"WHAT?!" We both exclaimed

"Yes." He sighed "Both of you will have to get there after school, and you'll be staying there in an hour, got it?" He said strictly, who eyed both of us with his fierce eyes

The class started whispering with each other as I and Dazai were still awkwardly standing in the middle of the class.

"But thank you for being honest you two... You just have to abide by the school rules. Do you understand?"

"Y-yes, sir.." We both agreed and sat back down

"Well, setting that aside. We'll be having a presentation by pairs." The teacher announced, changing the topic

"Ugh... What now?!" I growled and leaned on my back

"Your presentation will be about the importance of love in your life"

"What a nonsense topic.." Dazai mumbled, who placed his chin on his hands and looked at the teacher annoyingly

"...You can either present by using a song, poem, illustration, play, or anything that you have in mind"

He then continued "Any questions?"

I raised my hand

"Yes, Chuuya?"

"When is the deadline? And who will be my pair?" I asked

"About that, the presentation will be at the end of the school year and your partner can be anyone you are comfortable with"

"Okay, thank you sir" I sat down and leaned on my back again

"Any more questions?"

The room fell silent

"Okay, if you don't have any more questions, you may now head to your next class, advisers time is up" He announced again

"Oh and one more thing!" He said as he looked at me and Dazai "Don't forget your detention, boys" He reminded

"Yeah, yeah, we know!" We exclaimed, rolling both our eyes and turned away, briskly walking to our next class
